It happens: you're playing a game and you're finally about to beat that insanely difficult boss and just before landing the winning blow someone walks in front of the TV and you get killed during the half second that you can't see. Or maybe you have to pause the game and when you unpause it you're no longer "in the zone" and a battle that was going your way is suddenly turned on it's head by a misclick of a single button and in a few seconds it's game over, and all because mom/dad/wife/husband/kid/whoever decided they needed you right that very moment and it just couldn't wait.

The last time this happened to me was a few days ago and the game was Bard's Gold. After several tries I finally reached the boss of the first area and after losing all but one life to him AND accumulating 2,000+ gems, finding all of the secret rooms in the area and acquiring several ability books, I beat him. Then an exit door appeared and of course I went through it only to have the game print up FATAL ERROR along with a bunch of other technical babble that basically said the next scene failed to load. Crash. -__-

So after smacking on the bitter taste that left for a few minutes I started it again to see that it had saved prior to the crash thankfully, but I did lose the 2,000+ gems. Oh well, could have been much worse.

So how about you? What was the last frustrating moment you had in a game? It could be an game error or glitch, unfortunately timed power outage, or even a simple error on your end (not that you would EVER press the wrong button. Stupid game just thought you did), or anything.

The last moment was 4 days ago, in Pokémon Platinum. I wanted a Chatot, but couldn't find one. And once i found him, i accidentally have defeaten him/her... I don't know why i wanted a Chatot so bad, though.

I am playing Dragon Warrior III for NES on an emulator and I just slogged through the Cave of Necrogond, where the random encounters seemed to pick up and things got really nasty, just to find out I needed to go to another place to offer all the orbs and get Ramia. I forgot that little piece of info and I'm playing FAQ free so I'm not encumbered by knowledge.

I looked at the screen, said a word that was unsavory to say the least, and shook my head. I grinded out a while to get the levels to get through it.

But it's done. I kept things moving, and I'm off and taking on Baramos as we speak.

Actually I had one yesterday playing Dragon Quest 8. This was to end for my part 3 guide of it and I was fighting the last boss well sort of last boss which isn't really. Anyways I've faced this boss a lot of times so I already know how to handle something of it. Something happened that caught me off guard he managed to kill one of my party members while the rest was really low on health. I stayed calm instead of raging or panicking I said ok do this healing time before going back to attack mode I ALMOST died from that boss. My party members are not underleveled in no shape. You know bosses can be crafty, and attack something that catches you off guard. I revived my dead party member, and got back on track then killed him. XD

That one's easy-I grabbed a copy of Boston Lockdown off the Vizzed store because one of the more helpful reviews on Steam was to buy it on sale if you have a friend with it, that's how it's fun.  (The friend bought his copy of it here first and got bored of it almost instantly, but so it goes)

I was fighting the last boss just last night.  It spams weak defenders to keep your party occupied and has a 'charming' high damage attack it sprays over the bulk of the battlefield, so you desperately want to stay under cover.  Oh, yeah... and the weak defenders may scare you into running a few steps in a totally random direction.  I wasn't even particularly close to dropping that boss, but getting half the team spooked out of hiding and right into the brunt of the boss' attack to be killed instantly was very frustrating.

Just now, I was testing a demo of Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist. The game is kind of nice by itself, but I went mad when I started seeing the awful translations. Really, not even using the same names as the dubbed anime we received years ago? I totally lost interest in the game when I saw it uses the language you set your PS4 to so I have no human way of changing it.

There go my hopes of ever playing a Yu-Gi-Oh! game again. I'm not even trying a demo of them in the future, like ever.

I have had three gaming frustrations that were memorable.

When I was a lot younger I was playing Yoshi's Island. There was this level in world 5 that is really hard. As the platforms quickly change if you stay on one to longer your going to fall into the abyss. I was about to make the jump to the goal line and have all 100 points too. When suddenly my Dad yelled for me to ask me a question. The distraction caused me to lose focus and I fell into the abyss. Its funny now but it was frustrating back then.

Second, I was playing MLB 2002 and had played through an entire season. I had made the playoffs with the Colorado Rockies. I had to clear some space off of my memory card. So I would have a space left to play Mega Man legends 2. Guess where I'm going with this. I accidentally deleted my Colorado Rockies file losing everything. This happened a few months ago too.

Third was when I was playing Mega Man Legends 2 on my PC. I had downloaded an emulator to play the play station games (this was before vizzed added play station games) So to save my game I would use a flash drive. I was playing when my flash drive got corrupted bu unknown means and literally died on me. I had no way to save my game. To make matters worse I was deep in the game too. So I had to get me a new flash drive and start all over again. It made me want to go arrrgggghhhhhhhh

Just last night, actually. Since the PC version of Minecraft seems to be broken for some unknown reason, I decided I would give Pocket Edition a try on my mom's phone. I go to kill a Skeleton Horse and it EXPLODES IN MY FACE, spawning another Skeleton Horse and 3 skeletons, one riding the horse with an enchanted bow and helmet. Unexpected, but manageable, right? WRONG! Pocket Edition's AI is SO messed up. Those enemies have never had that level of accuracy or that kind of re fire rate. You literally couldn't avoid the shots and it was firing fast enough that the knock back kept you from jumping on him. To make it all worse, I was stuck with a really crappy touch screen D-pad and it managed to force me into the river, resulting in me losing all of my items to the bottom of it when it killed me. I almost never rage quit games, but that was downright infuriating.

Rocket League was annoying me all day because of one thing, I couldn't hit the ball properly or at all for some reason. It seemed like I was cursed, every time I'm ready to hit the ball, going at full speed, I jump attempted to hit it as hard as I could...Then miss it completely. It was like that all day, saving, setting up, shooting all kept missing. The rare times that I hit the ball didn't really change the game, either the ball going to a random direction or the ball not really getting anywhere and the one of the opponents will simply hit it out of the way.

Though despite having the luck of a fly in a room with anti-fly spray, I funnily enough kept playing Rocket League even with the problem I was facing all day. Hopefully it changes the next time I play it. :3

MarioLucarioFan64 : That helpless feeling as you watch the health meter drain...and keep draining...and hit empty. All while saying "No no no no no!"

Ghostbear1111 : Those old games were bad about that man. Reminds me of a somewhat similar situation on an SMS game where I got all the way to the end and ran into a locked door and was told I didn't collect enough keys or something and so I was locked out of the final level. :|

Eniitan : The times when a boss you've beaten multiple times beats you might be more annoying than the times you lost to him/her before the first victory because you know what you did wrong and you sit there kicking yourself. Lol Nice work saving that fight anyway though.

Noyb42 : Dude that entire boss fight sounds incredibly annoying. Like the final real boss in Stikbold, only worse. I hate those fights that feel cheap.

EX Palen : Seriously?? How did they manage to get the characters names wrong? -__- That's just irritating. Sort of like the Tomb Raider issue where the developers don't even know Lara's name. Lol

tornadocam : Yep, I had a similar situation the other day in Shadow of Mordor: I was in a fight and holding my own when suddenly mom called so I paused and went to see what she needed. When I came back it was no use, I just wasn't in it like before and I was dead in no time.

m0ssb3rg935 : You'll forgive me if I say I laughed really hard at that, right? No? Okay, I won't say it then, even though I did. Lol

Andrewl3779 : Gotta love it. And it would be a multiplayer game that decided to go that way wouldn't it? xD

Mine was DC Universe Online (DCUO). I had people queue up for a 2 man mission and then left the mission,no reason given. That is just poor player manners and you are not going to live long trying to solo everything.

Oldschool777 : A friend of mine on Steam had the same problem in Grand Theft Auto V. He was getting people together for heists and they just bail midway through. Gotta love the MMO crowd, huh?

Eirinn : Yeah that I can agree on. I didn't do anything wrong as a matter of fact he did like this same powerful move twice in a row, really damaging ones. So I had to think fast and get back to what I can do to recover, and heal. Then go and beat the crap out of him for doing such damage to me. XD

Eirinn :   It was cheap in more than that-the boss was perfectly protected by shield generators so you had to run around taking those out, and in theory it would repair them to make you go through all that again.  In the meantime it was also springing new and nasty surprises.  Here's a set of turrets, now we'll use more durable and harder-hitting minions, blahblahblah.  Good thing it was also a badly planned fight... anyone who figured out they could use their fancy special attacks to hit it multiple times or for bonus damage could finish it before the shield went back up.

My dad rented Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door for me on Game Cube. Unfortunately, nobody (including myself) had advised my parents that in order to save your game you need a memory card. So basically, I spent the whole weekend of  trying to get as far as I could without dying. Just as I got to Chapter 3 (or level 3 if you will) I heard, "Shut it off - I need to take it back". I wanted to laugh and cry at the same time lol.

Grinding for a specific item to make for a weapon and armor in dragon quest 8 called dragon scale. It even put me to sleep and I have just woken up. Its frustrating because I am facing a monster who drops it, but it doesn't happen all the time so you have to keep on grinding until you get to the amount that you want. I've managed to get like 3 so far, and before I was able to make one dragon mail armour for hero I just need to make one for yangus, I can with another 2 I have, but I am also in need of making a dragon shield for them both which also requires dragon scale. >.>

The last frustrating gaming moment I had was playing Bloodborne. That game's absolutely brutal, I knew it was known for it's difficulty, but man is that game frustratingly difficult or what?

gamerforlifeforever : So am I understanding you to say the whole game was a frustrating moment? xD

Well time for me to post here again. My last frustrating gaming moment was in Helldivers. Go figure. We completed every objective and called in the shuttle...and died with twenty seconds left until it's arrival. Yeeeeah...

Same day we lost a mission because I called in a stratagem and saw my teammate getting attacked by an illuminate (the big boys. If you've played you know which I'm talking about) and I tried to pick it off for him because he was prone. While I was doing so I failed to notice that I had instinctively backpedaled and walked direct below my stratagem beacon and it crushed me when it landed. My teammate died at the same time because I failed to kill the illuminate on him.

This game is a blast but also frustrating at times. I suppose it's in the name though so
