Hi all! I just got back to vizzed a few weeks ago after a 4 year
break... Long story I was going though a hard time in my life but all is
well now so I'm here to stay So I know a lot has changed in 4 years.
If I remember right if you cleared your cash and cookies it would
delete your data? Does that still apply now or did it change? Or did I
get the details mixed up? I don't need to clear them now but in case I
think about doing it I don't want to lose all my data on my games. I
have a fast laptop so I don't see myself doing it anytime soon. But if
something happens to my computer will I lose everything? Thank you in
advance.

I'm almost positive all your save data is stored in the Plug-In folder. As long as those files in the folder aren't messed with, nothing should happen to your ROMs or Saved Data. I'm sure one of the more experienced users could tell you the exact sub-folder the saves are stored in so you could back them up every so often if need be.

Granted, if you use Java / Flash / etc emulators that don't require the Plug-In, I would assume those Saves are deleted if you clear your cache, but again I'm not 100% on this. I can't see why anyone would go without the Plug-In to begin with, so I've never actually tried playing this way.

I hope this at least helps a little

Mynamescox44 : Thank You! That really shed some light on how saved data  works! I use the plugin so I am glad that it is saved to my laptop not cash and cookies. Still I  wont clear my cash and cookies unless I have too just to be on the safe side. Thanks again for the info

QueenMewthree :   " My name is Cox " is darn right. There is a precise folder where save files from here are stored on a person's computer .

I do not know what system you have but this is how I find my save files for the plug in .

  Start / Computer / Acer (C / Program Data / Vizzed / VizzedRgrPlugin / User-41570 / VBA / Saves

Find the equivalent path on your drive and you will be able to have a good , long look at where your files are stored .

Mr. McDavid also introduced something he calls " native saving " to the game room around here .  Before I could only save states with my earliest files and saving in the game was impossible .  Now saving using the game menu is as possible as if you were using a Game Boy for real .  Now using the native saves has benefited my game plays and made the files easier to hold onto and access .

Game page access points are a little different for Nintendo games now but it works good still .

Thank you for asking this question .  Often we forget the changes that have happened over time and we take them for granted .
