This is a complete walkthrough guide of Metal Warriors for the Super Nintendo. In this guide I will be covering how to complete each mission in depth and will provide insight on how to progress thru the game with ease. To begin I'd like to start off with going over the six different types of mech suits you can use in the game as well as their different abilities and strengths and weaknesses. In addition to that you can also get out of your mech suit and control a mini marine that is equipped with a small gun and can fit in smaller places.

Mech Types:
Nitro- Simple suit, basic combat capabilities, has the most powerful melee attack weapon, can fly , and has a special drop shield that temporarily blocks enemy attacks, you can shoot in any direction using this suit but you can only shoot straight or at about a 45 degree angle up or down.

Havoc-has jump jets(high jumping capabilities), not flight jets (can't fly or sustain mid air flight), has a chain whip as a melee attack, strongest shield and has the fastest  maneuverability

Prometheus- don't fly or jump, sluggish and slow, but very lethal your walking weapon of mass destruction if used, cannon fires all over the place, the aerial mines float straight up to kill enemies above, also equipt with a  flamethrower that not only melts enemies quickly, it also stuns them so that you will certainly kill one if it gets caught in the flame, shield covers his whole mech suits body

Spider-web attack that blocks shots and stops enemies, invisibility cloak, melee attack is a giant scorpion stinger, really hard to control,When on the wall or ceiling the suits orientation is still from its own cockpit if you try to aim while on the wall or ceiling you need to aim from Spider's point-of-view

Ballistic-can't fire while moving, limited jump, when it's weapons are out it will not move, the plasma gun on the mech is chargeable, and very powerful when fully chargered up

Drache-no gravity effects can fly anywhere in any direction and anywhere on the screen, shoots directionally, power drive ability which fly's directly into enemies and crushes them upon flying impact.

Now that the different types of mech suits  have been covered let's jump into the mission completion part of the walkthrough. In this part of the Walkthrough I will cover the mission perimeters and how to complete each unique missions with ease and by for the most part step by step direction.

Mission one:

Rescue your fellow mecha pilot. , in this mission you are tasked with the objective of  locating and rescuing agent/private Marissa and get her out of the stage (enemy base) . From  the beginning  of the stage, fly towards your right until you reach the elevator and the platforms, then proceed to go down one and then head right until you can't go further. The while in your mech shoot through the floor and continue down the course to the right. Next, fly up  the opening until you come come to an orange wall then keep right. (if you wait a bit a enemy will spawn and blast an opening through the right of the wall or you can get the rocket launcher equipment and break through yourself) But after that continue right and destroy the cannon, then continue right, along the lower path to a large room filled full with orange blocks. While in your mech shoot your way through the blocks to the lower left corner of the stage/room to find the missing pilot. After picking her up in your mech, fly straight to the left, once again shooting through orange blocks and keep left until at which point the mission(stage)ends.

Mission two:

Hijack the enemy ship, in this mission your main objective is to seize control of the enemy ship, you basically just make a mad  dash to the operating center of the ship itself. From the beginningof the stage, drop down the shaft , then continue right along the upper path until you walk into a room with huge missiles.then proceed to go up and to the right until you reach a point where your mech is to big to fit through the path. When you reach this point simply hit (whatever your select button is) and jump out of your mech and continue to follow the path to your right until you reach the end of the mission(stage).

Mission Three:

Infiltrate and Secure the enemy's base on the asteroid. Here's where it gets slightly complicated, First when beginning the mission(stage), go right until you reach a  vertical shaft, then fly to the top of that shaft and go right.Shoot down through the orange platforms and then go to the right until you get to a cannon on a ledge above you.  Shoot the cannon and go to the right. Then  drop down and jump out of your mech (using whatever button is your select button) and fly to the right and shut off the "On" switch.  Now get back in your mech (also by using whatever your select button is) and fly to the top of the shaft.  Go to the right until your commander that says you've (Lt. Stone) captured the central computer. Now, you must protect the Central Computer Core. There are these five core generators on the wall (they are numbered 1-5 and look like orange circles with a glowing dot in the center).  You must protect at least one of them from the enemies that are flying around trying to shoot them(protect atleast 1 to get passed this part) until you are told by the commander "Good work, now go to the hangar". After saving the core, shut off the "On" switch at the bottom of the room and then follow the lower left path until you find a life power-up.  Ride the elevator up one level and go left until you get to the gun turrets on the enemy drop ship.Shoot the three gun turrets on the top of the ship, then get out of the mech, drop down into the ship, and go to the right side of the ship where it says "Ship Com".  Then when you are basically instructed by the commander to guide the ship back into the base, just push right (whatever your right button is ) to move the ship until it stops. The it will say Mission(stage) complete!

Mission Four:

Ship defense, In this mission it's fairly easy your one and only job is to  defend the ship from attacking enemies. You are in a Prometheus suit and the key to success is to try and concentrate your defense in one place. First go right to the first box and grab the Seeker shot inside. Start shooting (use aerial mines whenever you are moving, regular cannon whenever you are still) at any enemies around you. Don't go too far to the left of the ship. When enemies see you, they come after you. Otherwise they attack the ship and then move on. So what you should do is stay in one general area near the right side so that any enemies attack you instead of the nearby ship parts. This preserves those parts for the whole fight. When you start to lose a lot of health, go to the far right and grab the health in the box. From this point on, it's just a matter of staying near an undamaged ship part. If you can ever coax enemies into walking right in front of you, use your flamethrower. It is the best attack. You should have plenty of health to survive if you don't grab the health item too early and you should also keep the ship together by staying in one place to draw fire away from a few parts of the ship. After Killing around  twenty enemies the mission concludes.

Mission Five:

Frontal assault, this mission is very difficult but you will eventually find an empty Havoc. Open the door nearby and get in. With
this fresh suit, you can go down and kill the enemy Havoc (open the door, then get back in your Havoc fast). With him dead, you can open the door to the left of the elevator for your other suits to come through, but keep the Havoc for now. Go up the elevator and to the right, leave that box (it's health)and go up to the little energy thingy and blast it. Deactivate that giant beam and then use your Havoc to go to the left of this top area and destroy the two wall turrets. Once they are gone, go back down and get the Ballistic (if healthy or if you can grab an available health box). It will make short work of the Super Cannon by jumping to the ledge just under all that and firing a couple Plasma bursts at the two little attack drones (one shoots missiles, the other lobs grenades). Once they are gone, just fire up at the Super Cannon
until it explodes in a fury of light. The damage zone is the flashing square at the end of the cannon, so you may have to adjust your position to hit it, although you can easily hit it when it recoils. Also, the Ballistic's rifle has a spread shot and will hit the damage zone about half the time. When all is set and done the mission concludes.

Mission Six:

Jungle war, To begin, head right and kill the Shooter on the ledge. Over the ledge and across the pit are two Cannons and a Shooter. Fly as high as you can and go right until you see a big green beam. Go down and you can take out these enemies from behind/above. From there go up the ramp to the elevator shaft and go down to the lowest tunnel and destroy the mines in the dip, continue to the right there are two cannons you need to destroy. Next go forward in the tunnel with your flight boosters on until the cave in happens, then fly up to the surface. Keep flying up until you are up against the railway with a Havoc on it. Don't blast through it yet. Instead, fly right until you see two kinds of Havocs. Because they don't fire upward, you can shoot down at them to kill them, go the left on the surface you will find a small shootable floor to the left of the Sentry Gun that goes into the cave below. Kill the gun, go left to find the switch for the second green beam (watch out for another cave in next to the switch). Fly up and to the right to find the switch to turn off the third green beam.Fly up and over the cliff and

all the way to the right until you see a fourth green beam. Go down and kill the cannon below you. Then go left to kill a Shooter. Below you are many many enemies and mines. In a large vertical shaft, you will find two cannons waiting below with a bunch of land mines. If you have full health, just attack. If you have low health, instead fly up and switch into the Spider up there. Use it to take out the cannons.First, drop a shield and then destroy the Kind-of-Havoc. The box above is health, so save it. Go right and drop another shield because there is a cannon

blocking the way. Destroy it, then fly up above and stand on the left ledge in front of the cannon. It should cave in. Now stand below the cannon and safely destroy it. Then fly up and use drop shields to cover you as you fire at the Sentry Gun to the right. When it's gone, use the switch to open a barrier nearby (it takes a while to open). Go up and kill the two Kind-of-Havocs, but try not to shoot open the box on the right. When the barrier opens, fall all the way down. This is the subterranean lab where they engineered a new flight suit. Kill the two dudes, then get out and go into the tunnel at the left. Kill the two guys in the little cave, and keep going left but make sure to use your jetpack to go as fast as possible. You will see a Havoc suit waiting for you but if you are not using your jetpack, a little guy will beat you and that sucks! Grab the Havoc first and go left tokill a second Havoc. Flip the switch there, and then go back right. Now go to the elevator , go up the elevator, past a zapper to the right and up a short elevator to destroy a cannon. The boss is located past the next room, up the elevator and then all the way at the far right of the level. After defeating the boss the mission concludes.

Mission seven:

Fire, In this mission the dark axis is burning down one of their bases and a nearby city rather than let your forces claim it. Your job is to stop them before they succeed. The level is basically falling apart as you run through it since it's all on fire and is being destroyed as you run through it.Basically you can shoot through entire building and walls on this level and with that said it's basically a run and shoot level. Not much can be said as the level falls apart as you progress through it.

Mission Eight:

The final mission, first you fly down the base you get to the bottom, there are several cannons and a green beam. Don't take them on right away; instead fly under the one to the right and then fly into the upper right corner above the third cannon to take them out from above and behind. Then go left again to kill the last cannon(grab the health behind it). Next get to the core, go to the lower tunnel over a large chasm with a green beam below and a moving platform. Above you is a plasma dropper, so destroy it before you go farther. Get on the platform and aim down a little. You will be able to use the platform as cover to destroy the two cannons to the right. Now directly to the left is a large chamber with a moving lock, go up and  right  to find the ledge get out of your suit and open a door on your left. In the door there are many tunnels and shafts , go up and to your left  until you come to a vertical shaft with a tunnel that only your little pilot man can get through. Go left and kill the enemies you meet until it looks like you can't go further. Look up and you will see a shootable ceiling, go up and through this, you should be able to go right and blast your way to the axis core. Now, there is a big truck to the right that you can't get past unless you go into the small room below and then back out when the truck goes over you.Go down the vertical shaft and open the door,To the left, there is a long upward climb. Now you should be at a large tunnel going right with some big treads in it,  iteventually find yourself near breakable floors. Go to the second one and start shooting down. When you are ready, jump down the final shaft and enter the  Final boss room.

Well this is the end of my guide I hope it helps you find your way thru the eight missions of Metal Warriors, and it helps you beat the game easier since I have given you a sort of path to follow when playing the game since the game doesn't provide much direction. Happy playing!

Excellent guide for a great lesser known game. :3

The ship defense guide is really helpful. I had some trouble with that mission.

Good guide here, and very helpful for those that are stuck on the game somewhere in these parts. You laid it out well of explaining what needed to be said, and how to do it as well.
