This is a bootleg of the bad Bug's Life game boy color game. But it's a great hardcore game for the rare game collector! Cute to play.

Graphics: They are very colorful and at least Flik isn't purple like in the game boy color one! The enemies are also bright and pleasant looking.

Sound: It's repetitive but when you first hear it you'll love it. I like the intro music that shows Flik getting ready to battle Hopper. Also when you defeat enemies with berries Flik says some quotes voiced by the bootleggers. You'll hear quotes like Nice one!'' and ''Hi five monkey!'' Flik's voice is nice and pleasant to hear and sounds like the movie but he can yell ''OW!'' getting hit by a enemy or falling into water. Fun fact: if you win the game you hear Sailor Moon music and get pictures from the ending of the game boy color version of the game!

Addictiveness: Like most bootlegs I keep playing this after school on the Internet.

Story: It's the same as the movie with Flik set to stop Hopper trying to steal their food. In the level Find the Hero you'll get helped by the circus bugs like Heimlich and the dung beetle thing during the level.

Depth: Although there's only 4 levels, they are very long. Lose a life and you'll start all over again on the level you lost. There's no checkpoints.

Difficulty: As said above repeating the level again losing a life might annoy you when playing. Also if you get hit three times you die. The controls are a bit bad so it's a bit hard to jump over the water pits.

I love this game but seriously there needs to be checkpoints next time!

Since it's a bootleg, I guess it's normal to have it so short. Nevertheless, you could have gone into more details. Is Flick's color the only thing really different from the original game? How addictive is it compared to the original game? How long are the levels compared to the original game? How is the difficulty level compared to the original game?

janus : Yes it is harder than the gbc version. The color is the only thing in the game that's changed and the game play is similar to the gbc one, throwing berries at enemies. The levels are very long and feel like they've been extended by the bootleggers. The reason bootlegged games are so addictive is because the player always want to see how they modified the ending of the game by trying to beat it.
