This enemy likes to destroy the highway. No seriously, it literally destroys the highway (it only appears in the intro stage which is called Central HIGHWAY). It’s attack is to drop the bottom of it’s body (which is covered with spikes) on the floor and destroy it. It depends on whether it’ll just destroy part of the highway or drill a hole through the highway that you can fall through and die from. Aside from creating bottomless pits it doesn’t really pose much of a challenge however. They appear rather often in the intro stage, but stop appearing after the area where the floor starts collapsing.
