This enemy seems to be some kind of robotic worm (duh) and it’s sometimes dropped by the Mad Peckers (the woodpecker-like enemies) when they’re pecking artificial wood. They only appears in Sting Chameleon’s Stage (by previously mentioned way) and in Sigma Stage 4 from these small holes in the wall while climbing up to the final boss. Which in some way makes them the last non-boss enemy you’ll encounter. They’re not very threatening, since the only way they can damage you is by running into you.
