Ghostbear1111 :

"And it's funny to see kids react to a phone that they can't tap and slide and use like an iPhone."

A few days ago was my first day of the semester, and while I don't know the kids in one of my classes from before, a lot of them knew each other and the entire class for the entire 3 hours was roasting this one kid for apparently finally upgrading from a flip phone to an iphone.

Ive had my samsung galaxy s5 for about 3 years now.  I refused to upgrade to the s6 and s7 because the battery became non removable.  Also the s6 chewed more power and came with a smaller battery than the s5.

3 years and that is with my current phone, it is an LG Sunset and it still works for what it does, even if the amount of space it has internally makes me pull my hair out.

Yep, I am one of those people with phones that last for years and years. =P I rarely if ever break my phones, and I mainly get new phones for the functions that the older phones don't have.

Well, I got my brother's old Droid Turbo (or something like that, can't remember the exact name) about two years ago, and it was working fine until the wifi started to go out. The stupid idiot that I was, I found that if you give it a "slight" tap, the wifi starts working again. One day, I "slightly" tapped it against my dresser, and the screen cracked all the way. I hit it from the back and the whole screen spiderwebs. Plus, the LCD got damaged, so I would have to replace that. Right now, I've got one of those $20 Tracfones to hold me over until I get the LCD and screen replaced. This thing only has four gigs, and I can't even use three of them. It sucks.

I had a mobile for about three years, maybe four, before upgrading to an Android phone (which was a hand me down of sorts) - before then, I possibly only had one for about a year before I lose it or something.

Anyway, my current phone is a Huawei (pronounced like hi-way) Swipe, and it's decent for what I want.

I had a big, black, brick of a Nokia for most of middle school.

It was actually my second phone. The first was a tiny green Android which I got in the summer before grade 6 and which I lost on the first day of school.

I owned the Nokia for three years and it was useful only for texting and calling since the Internet "app" was slow as molasses. Even then the keyboard was tiny and clunky and it often took me a solid minute to send out even a small message.

I was so relieved the day I got an iPhone 5S. I still have the Nokia, though it now spends its days collecting dust in a small bin.
