Before you read ANY further. I want you to read the requirements. I will explain why we have each of the requirements below. If you don't meet one of the requirements, don't be surprised if you aren't picked.

-Age: 14+
-90+ posts a month and 300 CP
-6 news threads per month (in the forums you moderate)
-Log on at least 3 days a week on average

Why do we require our locals at 14+?

It's simply a matter of maturity. We've had 13 year old mods who have worked out in the past but more often than not they don't. We are striving to have the best mods we can find and if you aren't 14 or older your application won't be considered.

Why do we require 90+ posts a month and 300+ CP?

This is just a matter of activity. We need to know we can count on you to be active on the forums. As the mod manager, I watch posting and CP closely. If you miss the quota on a regular basis then you are likely to be demoted. If you don't think you can meet this quota then don't apply.

Why do we require 3 days a week of activity?

Again, it's simply a matter of activity. We need to know we can count on you being active as a moderator. If you only show up once a week you miss seeing things the other 6 days. We don't expect you to spend all your time on Vizzed but this is a commitment that we expect to take up several hours a week.

Also, please have the courtesy to leave the questions on the app, and bold them to make it easier to distinguish where the question ends and your answer begins. This isn't necessary but it does show ability to follow directions and attention to detail.

Just a quick note for people who have or will apply...

While I won't ignore your application if you haven't posted 90 times in the last 30 days it will help your cause if you have. See - https://www.vizzed.com/boards/activeusers.php?posttime=2592000. You have time between now and the voting on applicants to bump up your numbers. I hope to see people making an effort to post extra.

One other thing - as of right now we are over 300 posts in the last 24 hours. If that stays all week I will strongly consider hiring up to a total of 9 local mods. We have 5 right now so that is 4 new mods possible. This might be your best chance to become a local mod. Just remember, that total posts per 24 hours needs to stay above 300 in order for there to be any chance of this happening.

geeogree : I must ask, how detailed do you want these answers? I mean, some, such as the first two, aren't possible to detail very deeply. However, the others that can be - how detailed do you want those?

TheTrueUlti : as detailed as you think they should be based on the question asked. Obviously some questions only require very brief answers but others can be as detailed as you would like.

In this case I would think that more is better as long as what you are saying is on topic and logical.

See, I WOULD fill in an application, but I was banned 2 months ago, and have -1 trust points. Not to say I have NO chance, but I think it'd be better if one of the more... "Higher Ranking" users became mods.

osazemccurley : while I would say that everyone has a chance at becoming a mod stuff like that definitely weighs against you because of how recent it was. We don't hand out that many bans anymore so being banned recently is a big negative against you =/

still, we have mod applications often enough that you could try again in 3 or 6 months from now and you'd probably have a better shot then

geeogree : I may. I'm pretty good at site managements and making sure stuff is kept i n check. I may later.

That's strange... For some reason, I thought the quota got increased to 500 CP at some point this year... Must have been my imagination.

I honestly don't get why we should have more than 6 mods. We currently have a balanced distribution of the mods, so adding more would make things go off-balance. I don't see why any section or public forum would need more than 2 mods right now, not even during past TdVs we've needed more than that.

I am online very often I can use my pc or phone which i do almost every two hours
Good qualities include: Leadership , understanding , and discipline
Have some sort of plugin to block certain posts immediately
Spammy posts are as follow: Posts that contain only a couple of words ,  posts that contain plentiful amounts of the same or similar word. Ex: I like Pokemon VERY VERY VERY VERY MUCH AND I WOULD REALLY GREATLY REALLY APPRECIATE IT IF WE TRADED , and posts that are the same and were posted several times
The best way to me is to agree to disagree. He/She likes Mario I like Luigi. Lets just agree to disagree and move on.
Trusted Member. A local Mod is just someone who helps around the server. They could fly off the handle and start banning people and taking down posts for no reason. A trusted Member however , is trusted by staff not to do those types of things.
The main things i have to offer are as followed: Game Guidance , I can handle the question messages , I can post Game videos , I can write Game Reviews and Guides , And I will soon be able to put codes in the Viz market. There are a few other things but they are just little things and do not need to be mentioned.

Locals actually can't ban people, and are not allowed to take down posts for no reason, we always have a reason as it either doesn't follow the rules or is dumb and so forth. 

I'm deeply concerned about parts of your application, and it would be appreciated if you edited out your application from your post.

Locals can ban, but only from specific forums they moderate, but usually, this isn't done anymore. I don't know if they still "can", but when I was a local, I often used my power as a local to ban from my rented forums, specifically, and did a few Crazy House bans in my first stint as a mod.

legacyme3 : When I was a mod, I was still done, but much differently, first off, all the mods of that specific forum had to agree that a user could be banned from that forum. Secondly, if something that a user did stems beyond just that forum, they can't really ban because it would interfere with a possible site wide ban, which would mean that they would need to be unbanned from that forum before a global can ban.

That could have changed too though.

Just a couple questions 

As a local moderator, are you required to make the majority of your posts in the forum you're assigned to, or can your posts be scattered across the board, so long as you're maintaining said forums?

How would the 300 CP quota be paired with a staff quotas? Would I need to make 300 in addition?

m0ssb3rg935 : The posts can be made scattered across the board without issues. You don't need to post in all forums under your wing, probably because sometimes you cannot really post there (like Newbie Forum or the forums in the Vizzed.com section).

As for the CP, you're required to earn 300 for mod quota, no matter what you do to get them. In other words, the 200 overall CP you need to earn as site staff would turn into 300 overall.

m0ssb3rg935 : Back when I was a mod, the mod quota and staff quota were two separate quotas, so 500 would have been needed, but at one point I remember tRIUNE making it so that the staff quotas of staff who are also mods would get cut in half, but still counted separately, so 400. Not sure if tRIUNE still does that though.

And the applications are now closed! They should have closed 45 minutes ago but I'm 1 hour off of server time so I forgot.
