Dusty Rhodes never held a major title in WWE, but boy did he win so many titles in the NWA, being part of many different territories that were part of the NWA, Rhodes won over 20 different NWA titles. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007, and his sons Dustin (Goldust) and Cody (Stardust) have wrestled in WWE over the years. One of his most important roles was training in the developmental NXT during his last years of his life. Unfortunately, Rhodes passed away on June 11th, 2015, but left his legacy in NXT and his children, and in his honor, a Tag Team Tournament, the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, has been formed in NXT to celebrate the life of the late Dusty Rhodes.
