Call of Duty 5: World At War (PC) Call of Duty 5: World At War (abbreviated COD:Wow) is a game developed by Treyarch and published by Activision. It was released in stores November 11, 2008 (other countries may vary). It was the first COD game developed by Treyarch. Graphics: 9/10 Developed with the IW 3.0 engine, this game delivers stunning graphics, gameplay and audio for its time. Compared to today's games, the graphics are fairly good and a big improvement from its predecessor. Its also less demanding than today's games. You don't need a powerful PC to run this at all. As it recommends a Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 1.8 Ghz and Nvidia GeForce 7900 GTX or AMD equivalent for both. Even today's low end laptops could meet or go above the minimum for this game. So the graphics are good and not as demanding. Anyone could enjoy this game without hardware limitations. Sounds: 8/9 The music composed in this game is very good. It gives it a real WWII like feel to the game. Treyarch really tired hard to get everything right, the music, sounds, even gun fire and they did. This game has the most unique sounding gun's in COD (my opinion). I has pretty good voice actors and good call outs from random people., you know when your team see's an enemy or scream's out “WATCH OUT, GERNADE.”If you want feel like your actually in a war, then this game is your “go to” for that. Addictivness: 10/10 I'm pretty sure most of you had played hours of Call of Duty, whether its Mutiplayer or just the epic Story mode. Maybe some of you had beaten the game in a day on recruit or veteran or maybe you pre-ordered it and couldnt wait for it release. Pretty much what I'm saying is World At War and most other COD games are very addictive, even after 8 years or more. Whether your hacking just for fun or modding to get most of this game (This game gives you a MOD opinion). Oh and don't forget Zombies. Possibly the best part this game for some of you. Playing with your friends in a lobby and trying to survive the horde. So this game is very addictive and most likely never gets old. Story: 10/10 We have two awesome action packed stories from this game. You goanna be fighting as two soldiers from completely different army's. The U.S Marines battling the Japanese Empire in the Pacific or The Red Army fighting off German's to take back your land and fight for your country. This game has two great stories from different prospective. The stories are fairly long and enjoying, and you might experience A LOT of near death's but manage to survive all the havoc. Make sure you fight well on your partners side. Depth: 9/10 You have Multiplayer, Zombies, A Story, and Med's. What more do you want. If your a veteran COD player, multiplayer was full of people who played fair and well. You have choices of many guns in the game. Whether its a Close Quarter SMG or a Cross Map Sniper and the choice of many game modes, like War or just a simple a small Team Deathmatch. Zombies was a great game mode implemented for the first time, people enjoy fending off the undead and getting pack a punch weapons to make killing them so much more fun. So this game has a to offer and one of the most well known and played COD games. Difficulty:10/10 There are four difficulties in the game. “Recruit”, for those who are new to the game or the franchise, “Regular”, for average COD players, “Harden”, if you want to test your skills try that mode, “Veteran”, if you beat the game in this level your the best of the best. This game is pretty difficult. Its intense, and so many things are happening at once. Try to take cover when things get heated, and that applies to not just the Story but Multiplayer too. The controls aren't too hard to understand. I play with Xbox 360 controller (wired), and its make playing this game a lot easier. So in general...this game is hard and will make you rage. Overall: 9.5/10 Yes I know, generally small review. But simple. Overall this is one of the best COD games before the complications and too much of futuristic features of newer COD games. Playing this game on pc is great and wont require a super computer. Side note, I hope this game gets backwards capability on Xbox One/PS4. Maybe people would return to Multiplayer and less hackers in the lobbies. Hope you enjoy this review.
