This weekend all Europe will have their eyes set on a single stage, where +20 artists from all over the continent will represent their home country in an attempt to win the contest. Or at least that's what should happen.

I personally could care less about this. We have seen that the votings are "rigged", always voting between neighbouring countries and most of the times not making justice by electing the best song or performance. Not to mention that sometimes the show can be rather disappointing, and being Spanish trust me when I say I fully know what that means (we had 0 points in one edition back in time, beat that).

It's fun sometimes to see strange things like how Lordi pawned everyone with their heavy metal music and their orc-like appearance, but outside of that I feel like it's a very dull event. We've seen some good songs here and there, but not even a handful out of 25 is rubbish.

They say that Russia seems a favorite, coupled with Hungary. We rarely have seen these predictions made real, but hey, someday they will be right. I'm still placing my bets on our special guest Australia, because it would be bloodily fun to see them win. I'm expecting Spain to finish in the top half, a top 15 would be more than enough for us, considering we could have failed to qualify most of the times if we weren't pre-qualified since immemorial times.

Anybody else interested in this event? Any predictions on a winning country?

It's hard to take any kind of interest when the person who's posting even comes out and says they're not engaged.  now I doubly don't care.  I'd at least take a peek if someone showed some enthusiasm.

Never mind.
