I woke up today at 1:15pm everything was fine I was going to go back to sleep when my left leg nearly dislocated itself *cryz* ... so much pain ... owww vT~Tv

not that this hasn't happened to me before and the leg did actually dislocate and I've had to grit my teeth and put it back into place a few timez ... not in the same day but throughout the yearz I've described this occurrence to a few different doctors and none of them can givez me an answer as to whyz this happens to me

the location where it dislocates is right behind the knee where the bone/femur from the upper leg meets the bones/tibia and fibula from the lower leg ... and I think the one that keeps dislocating is the fibula ... whyz it is doing so I don't knowz since I've had this problem since I was 15 (maybe a little older then that) and it happens to both legs ... not at the same time thankfully or I dunno what I'd do ... though it happens more to my left leg then my right leg don't knowz why it just does :/

That's rough! I've never heard of anything quite like that before. I know I wake up and get cramps in my calf muscle but this sounds very different.

I do know that sometimes dislocating a joint can cause it to be extremely likely to dislocate again because the tendons and ligaments that hold things in place have either been torn or loosened because of the dislocation and no longer hold the bones in place like they used to. That is something the would require ultrasounds and surgery to fix I would imagine. Not sure what could be done through physiotherapy to help that. Maybe walking would help strengthen the muscles in the area but I don't know....

We all go through trials of some sort or another. Mine are mostly mental, although I have had some physical problems, especially weakness. It's how we deal with them that defines us. Pain is a part of growing up, if we let it be. I hope you'll gain some valuable knowledge from this experience and grow. But...I'm not going to tell you it's going to be easy. Just hang in there. Things will work out well if you let them...but they might not work out in the way you expect.

supernerd117 : I've dealt with this for a while ya it hurts for the day but then it is fine by tomorrow I just baby the leg in the mean time till it feelz better ... though once it does dislocate it wants to do so again so I gotz to keep it still for a while and let the tendons and ligaments relax back into their proper place

thankz for the support I stillz don't knowz whyz this happens to me but the worst place I've ever had one of my legs dislocate on me was in the lazy river at Wet n' Wild thankfully I was inside an inner-tube at the time so I was able to keep myself from drowning while I put it back into place ... I did scream when it dislocated which alerted the people I was there with (since it was a field trip) and a guy that was close by that I was in trouble they all swam to me and asked what had happened and to make sure I was ok ... which I was fine albeit a little scared that I could have drowned thankz to the leg dislocating while I was in the water but I didn't let it effect the rest of my time while I was there it was stillz a very fun day

That's not fun, I could only imagine how painful it must be for you. I really hope it doesn't get worse because I couldn't imagine it happening frequently.

I now exactly how that feels. I have dislocated my arm a number of times (I played as a goalkeeper in a soccer team). Geez getting cramps in the middle of the night is nothing compared to that.

So sorry about that.I can kinda relate to that (not really).I burned my leg with hot coffee a few weeks ago, so my leg was out of commission for about three weeks.
Luckily, I just barely grazed my other leg so I wasn't completely unable to walk.

I hope you eventually find out whats wrong and maybe even get it fixed up some day.

zanderlex : ya my leg is feeling a bit better today I gotz more movement in it today without it hurting ... it isn't back to 100% yet but it is better then it was yesterday

my shoulder is also doing better though it is being more of a problem to me then my leg is at the moment ... I go back to the chiropractors this coming Wednesday so the main person I see should fix what the girl who was a little rough with me did ... granted she did crack my neck bonez which felt good though I think in the process it aggravated my one shoulder that has been a problem to me for a while (and wasn't hurting before I gotz the treatment from her) and I didn't feelz it tillz after I gotz back home :/

Jygin : You could always ask a doctor if doing stretches, yoga, etc, might help strengthen the tendons and muscles around the joint and help keep it in place. I'm no doctor myself but people who were told they would never walk again or something similar have managed to run through using these types of exercises. Just something to consider
