The first step to make netplay matches and tournaments more available for Europeans, we first need at least one server located in our continent. While it would be an unofficial server, the good news is that it can be hosted by a great variety of people, so we have the chance of not relying into a single person.

There are three kinds of servers: permanent, semi-permanent and temporary.

-Permanent servers require you to leave your computer on and the server running 24/7. It may sound excessive, but that’s how the official servers work. I doubt we will have something like this, but there have been examples in the past of permanent European servers so it’s a valid choice.

-Semi-permanent servers will be up as long as your computer remains on. Basically, a server that will be up as long as you’re available. Probably the best choice, I don’t really see the need of a server at very late hours like 4 AM.

-Temporary servers will only be up whenever you decide to put them up. The most unreliable choice, but valid as any other, since keeping the server up for extended periods of time can be a bit taxing for some computers.

As everything, there are some requirements for this:

-Must be at least a Trusted Member.

-Your computer must be fairly decent, and if possible, not very old.

This is everything you need to know. Anyone interested in making a netplay server, please reply to this thread stating the kind of server you’d be willing to put up.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
