Do any of you believe climate change is shifting the weight of this planet?

According to the article, the melting of the Greenland ice sheet has cause a 'polar wobble'. Even though scientists are calling this shift harmless, the article goes on to say it's meaningful, as it shows how much greenhouse gases and us releasing the same affect this planet.  Anyway, here's the article. Take a gander and give your opinions about this subject.

First of all, the melting of Greenland is not what it is hyped to be according to satellites: https://wattsupwiththat.com/2008/12/30/the-ice-in-greenland-is-growing/

And second, news about WHATEVER may be caused by climate change (or whatever it is called right now) is much like the boy who cried wolf. It both causes more and less snow, more droughts and flooding, more heat waves and cold snaps and all of the following: https://quixoteslaststand.com/2014/03/08/updated-list-of-things-caused-by-global-warming/

I'm not sold that it is changing the weight of the earth just yet. I think they need to really investigate this before they make a claim. Now, I have degrees in Natural Science and Biology. I'm not a climate change denier. As I do believe climate does change. But I'm not so sure its man made.

If you look back at past records you will find decades of warmth and extreme weather events then you will find decades of cold air. Now granted we might be changing the climate but I think more research needs to be done. I think the main problem is Global Warming has become a political issues when it should not have but that is a debate for a different day. Even during the warm decades earth's weight and tilt stayed the same. If you look the 1930's and 1950's were very hot and Earth tilt did not change. 1998-2004 was also hot and it did not change. Now, because the past 3 years have been hot they say it has changed. I'm not sold yet I think more research needs to be done.

From a scientists standpoint anybody can make a theory. But in science if a theory has truth to it other researchers can test the theory or idea to see if there is truth to it. I think that is what needs to happen here.

I don't think it would change it at all, it could disperse the weight over the earth, but it can't just make it heavier or lighter, just move the weight that's already there

The earth constantly gains weight because it constantly gets bombarded by space debris.  The melting or freezing of water and ice through climate change (whether you choose to believe it or not) is not going to change the actual total weight of the earth.  There's a theory out there that says you can't destroy nor create matter and a change in state does not affect the weight of the matter you're dealing with.  If you collect all the water vapor from evaporated H2O, you're going to have the same weight as when you started.  The molecules or atoms are simply in a different state.

Does climate change shift the weight of the earth?  No.

Ghost and Zander pretty much summed up my thoughts on this as well. Regardless of how things change on the planet, unless matter actually leaves the atmosphere, the total weight will be completely unaffected. As for climate change, I don't think we have nearly as much of an impact as it's made out to be. If I remember correctly, methane produced from animals such as cows have more impact as greenhouse gases than CO2 emissions from cars, planes, and trains combined. Concerning the change in axis tilt, I understand where they're coming from and the information seems accurate enough, although as they stated it's nothing to be afraid of.
