Specifically out of these four sports, I like soccer because of kicking, which is part of martial arts. I actually went to an Orlando City Soccer game and saw a beautiful Pele Kick, which is something used by both Finn Balor and AJ Styles in pro wrestling, and it looked spot on to Finn Balor's version of it. I really hate football because of its popularity, and I always feel like there is a fight between the Super Bowl and Wrestlemania, whether or not one is more popular than the other. Getting back on to these 4 sports, I do kind of like basketball, but I can't connect to it, as it seems simple, and running up and down the court just seems boring to play. Baseball is my least favorite, even though my father was addicted to it back in the 90s.

I noticed that basketball has a small lead right now in this poll, and I imagine the NBA Finals are part of the reason for that.
I'd say football overall, but I love all sports. I do tend to get into a sport more during it's season though, so I'm not that interested in football right now (still voted football in the poll). One sport that I do seem to follow all year long is auto racing (mainly NASCAR, but I try to at least watch other races and series when I can). I know some people don't consider that a sport, but still.

Of the 4 listed, both Soccer and Football are tied for my 2nd favorite sports.

Went with Football in the poll though because work has prevented me from keeping up to date with soccer

Football is the easy choice for me, beyond a doubt.

I lived with my mom until I was about 14, and she didn't really want me playing any sports, but even then, the only one that I could really stand to watch was football, since with basketball I would always get the feeling that it was such a slow progression points wise, and I could never stand all the fouls that were given, no offense. When I play basketball, people get mad because I play like a football player. xD I can put up with it now, but only for the NBA playoffs and the occasional Vanderbilt game.

Baseball I didn't like because, again, there wasn't enough contact, and I could never really get into the pitching and stuff, plus I never have liked the idea that there's only so much they can do on defense. I can watch baseball, and I enjoy it a lot more than I do basketball, despite being absolutely miserable at the sport, but I still don't watch it very often.

In soccer, I have the same problem as I do basketball. I don't like all the fouls and flopping, even though it's actually a pretty dynamic sport. Honestly, for me, it's like hockey, but in the heat, which I'll take over the cold, and with no contact, which I very much disapprove of. Granted, I can't do the whole skating part, so it doesn't really matter, but I've never been a fan of soccer. A few of my friends play though, so I have actually watched the ends of a few games.

Now for football, the sport that pulled me into athleticism. I started it two years ago now, and at the time I was one hundred and forty five pounds as a freshman in high school, and it hurt. They threw me into wide receiver, where my lack of speed and coordination was evident, and defensive end, where I didn't have the explosive power, aggressive play making skills, or the raw power to compete. Now, that was the year that I really started to get in to the watching the National Football League and the NCAA, College, for just Ohio State. I payed close attention, especially, to defensive ends, like Joey Bosa on the Buckeyes and J.J. Watt on the Houston Texans. Over the course of that year, I put on thirty pounds of muscle and got a lot faster, but I still wasn't able to compete despite all of my effort. A one hundred seventy five pound defensive end just will not be able to compete with tackles.

But after last year, I really started to get into it. I started lifting harder, working out more often, watching defensive ends more closely on tv, and all of that stuff, and managed to put on another twenty five pounds. I'm a lot more confident as a result of all of that, being bigger, stronger, faster, better conditioned, and all that, plus it was the only reason that I had any friends in high school at the beginning of the year, since I was in a new school.

So that's a pretty comprehensive list of reasons as to why football is easily my favorite sport.

I picked football. I haven't watched baseball in many years, same with Basketball. I watch an occasional hockey game on TV, but it's always football. Like I said in the first sporting event thread, I am a huge Seattle Seahawks fan, I live in Washington for one, but I have been a fan since 1991/1992. Since I knew what football was. Been a fan for the bad years, the mediocre years, and now the amazing years.

I have to go with soccer I would had chosen football, but nowadays football isn't really worth watching anymore because of how things always are. Fights always happen at the end with the loosing team raging about the loss instead of taking in the defeat. tyranit has explained clearly why soccer in a way is better, but then again its peoples choices of likes. I liked soccer more when watching it and inazuma eleven got me more into it.

Basketball, without a doubt.

There's something so exhilarating about swishing that you just don't get out of a touchdown, goal, or home run. Don't get me wrong, I like football too but I prefer basketball's smoother flow and how all you need is a court and a ball- none of that endless scouring for a wide-open area.

My favourite sport is gymnastics, but it wasn't an available choice. That's why I answer.

Kyra-Gymnastics :   Nice work going against the grain. I also noticed hockey, volleyball, boxing, wrestling and tennis were absent as well. They are also super popular multi-million dollar industry sports of equivocal widespread enthusiasm. They are also sports where you go head to head against you opponents and try to beat them at their own game by inducing their failure to perform against your triumphant maneuvers.

By comparison, gymnastics tends to be an individual performance sport which is subjectively judged. It fits with figure skating, synchronized swimming, diving, dancing, singing and the like.

I chose basketball because I have played it plenty of times and I have enjoyed it much more than the years I played soccer. It hasn't been difficult to gain advantages at shooting hoops since I've become so tall.

Yes. Definitively. Basketball is my sport of choice.

I'd prefer basketball as it is less dangerous than football and is probably more fun than football.
