Last day of competition!

Well, now I've officially clinched red. I've been able to enjoy the day without having to worry about possibly losing the overall jersey lead. Starting tomorrow, I'll be able to enjoy having the red jersey for the month of May.

gamerforlifeforever2 : what did I tell you? I was pretty sure you would be able to keep your lead over me. I ran out of steam near the end and I just wasn't motivated enough for individual jersey wins compared to winning overall and breaking the record and breaking 400 (which I did today). I'm okay with not winning Red because it got me LOTS of points.

So glad I was able to break 400. Still can't believe how this TdV has gone. I'm glad I've got my overall win and I'm able to now lay claim to having won this competition. I might compete in a much more relaxed capacity in the future but I will never try to win the overall again. As much as this was a quieter TdV it was still a lot of effort to get as many points as I did every day.

I wonder how much better I could have done if I had started on day 1 and not day 5.

I think it is sad that jygin didn't have the white jersey anymore. I'm assuming its because she no longer was considered a new member. She had a good run with it, though.

Anyway, best of luck to everyone during the last day of competition.

So, I like won?

I managed to break 100 points as well so there were 6 different people with over 100 points in a jersey this time around.

Also, I finished the competition with 415 which ended up being only 80 points more than Igor got. I was trying to get 100 but I almost completely missed a day of getting points near the end or I could have done it.

I'm glad I got a win finally though. The competition is halfway into the 5th year and I hadn't won it yet is kind of crazy to me.

This was one of those Tour de Vizzed competitions that will be remembered for a long time. Not only did geeogree surprisingly enter this competition but he killed the record for most points in a single TdV by getting 80 more points than the previous record. Any time you're part of a TdV where records are being broke or a legend joins the competition, you're kinda sad to see that competition come to an end.

Davideo7 : You made a typo in the last sentence, you accidentally typed Congratz geeogree for winning the 2016 Winter Tour De Vizzed.

Anyways, geeo, congratz on your dominating victory in this TDV. I was beginning to wonder if you'd ever try to win the competition, it was smart of you to choose this month, since for the most part, it was the deadest competition I personally had been a part of. The only way that someone would even have a chance to break your record now is if a competition in the future were even deader than this one, but I don't see that happening for a long time.

gamerforlifeforever2 : That's exactly why I should avoid posting right when I wake up lol. Fixed.

gamerforlifeforever2 : I knew I could do it if I ever had the time and motivation to put in the effort to win it. It was just a matter of finding the right month to go for it.

Davideo7 : thanks! I constantly felt surprised at how well I was doing. I knew I could score lots of points (I had gotten a legitimate 4 jersey day last TdV I think) so that wasn't a concern but I didn't know if I would have the drive to compete for the entire month. Well, 25 or 26 days really. I didn't do much the first 4 days.

And I pretty much dominated the 2 jerseys I won. No one came close to me in either of them. The other 2 jersey wins were pretty close right up to the last 2 days.

zanderlex : yeah, like a day after you said you were going to try and win blue you dropped off the map. I kept trying to egg you on to post more (cause the posting was pretty slow until mynamexcox44 showed up) but it never worked. =/

geeogree : Congrats on winning the TdV! It's amazing that you were able to get so many points, and be in the lead so much. 

Sucks that I couldn't win this one, and I think my next opportunity to actually go for a win will be in January. 

But if we bring back the VCS that's different  

Barathemos : we're not bring back the VCS. It's not going to happen.

Having multiple competitions going on at the same time becomes a bit too much to handle.

geeogree : I'm aware that we aren't bringing it back, but even you have said that we should  

And it is too much to handle possibly, I wasn't apart of it. But it worked well for a while until the CP VCS but... 

Barathemos : the only way it would happen is if the TdV took a break for one of the 4 seasons and we did a VCS in its place. Other than that it's not going to happen.

And I might have said that at one time but opinions on the TdV and VCS can change...

Its not a lot of thing you see nowadays so you winning brought a smile to my face. I'm sorry I don't have a small poem to give for that, but I thought to post and congrat you on winning. ^-^

MrBeingcool1 : you got third place for the Yellow Jersey for the 30th only. That means you got 3 points that day. You didn't get third overall though.

It's pretty fun to win this. I've been around for all of them but never had the desire or time to compete in one of them yet. This last month I did have the time and desire so I went for it.

Eniitan : thanks! You don't need to write a poem about my victory. I'm sure it will be put into songs and statues will be made. Just give it time

I myself am amazed I didn't give a damn the whole weekend about not being able to follow the TdV. Seems like I'm less interested in this than I thought

Geeo finally did it, and we have all four jersey leaders above 100 points for the first time in history, a second milestone to add to that staggering record of 415 points for rainbow. All signs point to no more first times or general milestones for a while.

Seems like I finished 8th overall and 3rd for Yellow, which is way better than what I did in July 2015, only that back then I actually tried to place high and this time I didn't do anything special on top of my usual activity.

Now that my motivation to write has been replenished, and if I stop having trouble with my computer, I can totally have my summer project ready in time. Stay tuned, because a new record is coming in July. What kind of record will remain a mystery for now.
