With tdv coming up, I figured this would be the best time to post this. I mean no disrespect to any of the staff or my fellow vizzed members when I say this, but should a new rule forbidding certain members from posting during tdv be made? Like only allowing normal members to compete against each other, and trusted/staff to do the same? Imo they kinda have the upper hand with extra forums.

The whole purpose of tdv is to determine who all the active members that help out the most around here are. Am I right? Well, l've got nothin' against it. I just would like to have a fair chance at winning a banner. Everyone else higher than normal just seems to blow away the competition for lower members like me.

The only change I can recall that will be made is altering the Green Jersey slightly. I don't know how, but David is going to make the Green Jersey more fair to everyone. As for the rest of the jerseys, I think they are fine. Lots of members, even ones who recently signed up, have gotten a jersey before, I've seen it. It just takes determination. (Undertale reference lel).

LunarDarkness2 : Thinking about it more clearly now, you might be right. I kinda was exaggerating a litte when I stated that most banners were nigh impossible for normal members like me to win. I also won a jersey during tdv before despite the odds. Looking back on all of it now, I believe it was my own determination that helped win it in the first place even though I had no clue they existed at the time lol.

We're already discussing this in a more private forum, but we came to the conclusion that, after all the recent events, there's no time for big changes. At most, we will see a couple new rules added, but that's all.

I would like to see changes in the Green jersey as well, but I doubt David has something in mind that he could code before tomorrow. Probably he managed to finish the automated team competition, but I doubt it.

tdv is easy once you know how it works and staying active 24/7 i even won a jersey by accident  

I think that no matter what gets added / changed in the rules, there will always be some people who dislike it.

Right now the TdV is probably about as balanced as it could be with the only jerseys that staff have an advantage in being green and red to an extent. And why is this even a problem in the first place. The staff members put in a ton of work every single month so with that they can actually be rewarded in some way for all of the hard work that they do continuously throughout the year.

I'm under the impression that a lot of the frequent TdV competitors are staff which gives of this vibe that the competition is impossible to win for normal members. It's really not if you actually put some effort into it. 

EX Palen : Oh, there was already another discussion like this before? I'm sorry. Didn't mean to make a duplicate. Well, if David does decide to add a few new rules to tdv in future, I would like one of them to involve a specific jersey that only normal members could win. Like how new members can win the white banner. I think it would be a nice touch to those having a hard keeping up the other higher members. Imo it would give them a little more motivation to be active during tdv. As for potentially spamming the board for it, and a the way this jersery could be earned, I'm afraid I don't have a answer on how david and the staff could deal with it. But it seems like a good idea. What do you think, ex?

mastergame : I agree. It's pretty simple once users learn the basics, and are fairly active during most of it. As a matter of fact, I believe that's how I unintentionally earned mine's. However, it eventually started to become more difficult for me. Not because of the competition, but rather for not having anywhere else to post during that time.

Furret : You're still a staff member yourself, right? Ah, I'm sorry, F. I took everything into account from my own personal difficulties and past experience with tdv and blamed the majority of it of the staff. The only problem seemed to be me not being able to find topics to post in during tdv. Realizing this, I no longer see any need to change the rules. But to be honest with ya, I really do like the idea of having a new jersey during tdv that I thought of earlier, and wouldn't mind posting more often to get it.

The TdV has already gone through so many changes. I think many users are getting tired of things being changed every TdV.

I don't think there should be a rule restricting certain members to post since that's what DQ's are for. Plus if they can't post at all the site's activity will drop even lower. After Nintendo deleted almost every Nintendo game on here, we really can't afford any other horrible things to happen on vizzed. :/ Hopefully this TdV will be one of the most active ones in quite a while so the site can get back up with activity.

I believe that Vizzed has done a great job making appropriate changes to the TdV rules in fact it hardly if ever encourages users to spam to win and creates a user friendly competition that everybody can compete in. Competing in a TdV is the best time and place to meet new people in the forums and make friends. The only change TdV needs is for more participants.

austipokedude : I believe it could also use a few more forums to post in. Or more precisely, prepare a whole new set of topics for each forum for the arrival of tdv. In my case, it is really having little to no where to post since I have already posted in many of the forums and threads here. Thus, leaving me with a very slim success rate at winning any kind of jerserys at all. In short, I think the idea of creating more topics for tdv beforehand should be considered.

Well considering this is the first TDV I'm taking seriously, I really see no issue that much, though again I haven't paid much attention until now so what do I know?
