Hello, this is bananaeater99, known in minecraft as ScarTheScarab (map page needs to
update to that ign!)
who constantly tells about a map project he wants to make for the vizzed server. Formerly, a previous post to tell of this was made, but its descr
iption is severely lacking and quite outdated, this variation of the post focuses into going into details about the features planned in my project idea which just might be something unique for the vizzed server to have.
Note that all things detailed are not official and thus not actually built yet.
1: Basic layout of the map
A total of 5 main islands are planned, surrounded by other smaller unclaimable islands with various features. Currently, only 3 islands have a officially planned owner. First, obviously me, second is the server group with the name "diamond lords", third will be mrfe, one of our good server admins. The islands, unlike the original map, are located within a endless ocean, but access to the endless sea is restricted by a large circular wall surrounding the area.
2: Custom mobs
The primary feature of this map. Various locations will feature custom mobs with quite a new experience,
each one is modified to be challenging, some are just regular, some are slightly stronger then regular, some are minibosses, some are bosses, and very few are superbosses. In addition to the extra challenges they have they also have chances to drop some neat equipment as well. The stronger they are, the better the chances are they have a really useful item to drop.
3: Custom items
The secondary primary feature in the map. Custom items will be found all over the map, most custom items can be found in the center of my projects main island, in the form of a villager trading area. Due to their features, they have reasonable pricing for their value. Items also are located from the corpses or freshly killed custom mobs and in treasure chests located at certain locations on the map.
A example of a custom item is the dispel potion. This potion has every potion effect included in
it. But, true to its name, it dispel's. Each effect only lasts for a couple seconds and has a
out prioritizing level to ensure each time amount will be included. So throw this at your opponent
and in a couple seconds, all their potion effects will be ended >

Another example of a custom item is a sword called the star sword. It contains a slight speed boost
and a +15 attack power, its enchants are concealed as well, and it is unbreakable. A very useful
weapon for tackling those custom mobs throughout the map.
4: Dungeons
The third primary feature of the map project. Located at various spots in the island area.
You can enter these places and traverse through to defeat custom mobs and find a few neat
items not normally found at the main shop. all variations of boss mobs can only be found
in these parts of the map. Sometimes in the least expected way.
One example of a planned dungeon is the Nether Palace. Located at a uniquely large island the only island that has a volcano. There is a cave outside the island concealed by the island forest, you walk into it, then the key to start it can be activated. You traverse through a cave that slowly becomes
more engulfed in flames leading to the palace. The inner palace is definitely up in flames and has
planned some neat effects for the environment. After you defeat the dungeon boss, you realize it is
not over yet. You are then tasked to run like heck to escape as the volcano is about to erupt.
Successfully escape and then you can enjoy the planned special effects of the volcanic explosion.
Fail and be engulfed in it for a very unpleasant instant death only avoidable with the correct item.
5: Nbt tags
This is what will program all the custom mobs, items and special effects planned for the map.
Without it, the map cannot exist with all the planned features.
6: Post conclusion
So, how does this sound? Is it a potential great addition that "could" be built for the server?
Express that choice for wanting it to exist and who knows? It just might begin construction.
