As you guys know I write sometimes, though not as often as I used to. I just finished this song about five minutes ago though, and it's one of the rare ones that aren't too personal for me to share. It's titled "Fall".

The song chronicles some personal experiences of mine, but in a way that's very nonspecific, and can apply to just about anything. I do wish to note however, that this song is not about any sort of addiction (could be derived from "not worth what it costs" and "another can have my share" I guess), though I suppose it could easily speak to the feelings of those who battle addiction. The meaning of the song I have no intentions of revealing however, so please do not ask. And finally, I do not claim these to be good lyrics, and they are unusually short lines, but their brevity perfectly highlights the feeling behind them.

And if you're curious about the genre that this was written for, I'm not 100% on the name, but I call it Alt. Some call it screamo, call it whatever, it doesn't affect the words or their meaning and value to the writer. At any rate, RED had a heavy influence on it.

I had no idea that you did this kind of stuff, now I feel betrayed that you never told me about this. It looks pretty good but its a bit odd too for me, I wouldn't really be able to understand it unless I was actually hearing it. How long did this take?

zanderlex : Lol Sorry, I guess you weren't here last time I posted a song. Had no idea it was that long ago.

Yeah the lyrics are really bare boned, and they're meant to be that way. It relies a lot on the vocals (lost on the audience in print I know) and personal interpretation, but I promise most of my stuff is much more straight forward and fleshed out.

As for how long it took...maybe five or ten minutes? I've never been one to spend much time mulling over the words. Either they come to me or they don't. But I've never written a song like I wrote this one, I literally took my thoughts and cut the descriptive things out and shortened the lines down, and that was it. Basically these are just my thoughts set to a rhyme scheme.

I too, did not know that Eirinn had an addiction either, but that is okay. It isn't like he is out there killing other people or acting on prejudices, but I did characterize Eirinn as a friendly saint or friendly Christian when I became friends with him too. I hope you can get your addiction under control Eirinn ! Whatever is your addiction is, does it give you extreme pain after the buzz and into the after-effects of your addiction and using the item for your addiction? What I am trying to say is, I worked with people who smoked and I talked to them, but they seem perfectly fine with their body. But I always wondered if they were going through a strong pain sensation inside themselves that every smoker or drinker of alcohol goes through with the after-effects of smoking or drinking. The thing with me is that I have never smoked or drinked in my life so I'm probably someone that people would say is normal in society, but I too have disabilities that make me not normal, so maybe my disabilities are my addiction 0_o.

happiness7 : Oh gosh no, I don't have an addiction at all. Lol That's what I meant, I didn't mean the song that way, but I was afraid it might be taken that way. The lyrics are about situations in my life. No not addicted to anything thankfully.

Eirinn : Hahahahaha whoops! I don't have an addiction either and hopefully I don't ever pick up smoking or drinking. I think those things make people more vulnerable to diseases and things like contagious things. I too think that was good song that you made Eirinn! Just add a beat and rhythm and maybe you will become the next superstar.

Apparently RP isn't your only talent as far as writing is concerned lol. Speaking from experience, I can see how people may view it as about addiction, but it could also apply to an unhealthy relationship, or maybe even other things. I really like the lyrics. Depending how it was put together, it could definitely be something I'd listen to, as sad music speaks to my soul
