Hi I would like to know if there is any way for me to change Mupen64Plus key binding.
Currently it is using my left shift and left ctrl as "A" and "B" and this is undesirable.

I apologize if there is already a guide out there somewhere but I cant seems to locate them.
Also I do not have a PC controller so avoid going towards that solution

If there is a fast forward button for that particular emulator, I would like to know it as well

Thank you

I'm not sure but maybe it's something about the options. (I'm always using keyboard to play games in here.)  Also , I didn't heard that , there's need to change anything. Changing buttons is much easier while playing using keyboard.
By the way , I know that you can change controls using the 1964 emulator , but I don't think so , if there's an option like that for Mupen64Plus.

Yea, same as you, I only use the keyboard as my only controller. Not being able to change key really affect me

The game I am affected on is Zelda ocarina of time(master quest edition). That being said, the 1964 emulator has a disclaimer that said there are certain visual bug when using that emulator. Following which is the reason I used the Mupen64Plus.

At the moment, I am not sure if I even want to use keyboard for this game anymore since this game require quite delicate turns and quick key press

Hmm... you know how to change keys using 1964 emulator don't you?
If not then I can tell you how. Of course if you want.
And to let you know , while playing GBA games you can change controls too.
It's a little different than with N64 games but it's working.  Also while playing games for this system , you can speed up your game by pressing spacebar.

Thanks alot for the help.
In response to your questions: yap, i do know how to change the control in other system if it has been stated in the tool tip at the corner of the emulator.
I also know GBA/Medafan use spacebar as a speed up which i use a lot of to skip pesky cut-sence or long LONG walk

but the main issue here is that I wanna use Mupen64Plus and wanna know more about its function and ways to edit it^^
but in all thanks for attempting to help

Vanelan : I'm pretty sure you've made a thread mentioning how to change controls through the config file, am I wrong? I'm a tad busy at the moment so I don't have time to search through, but I figured you might be able to link it if it exists. Thanks in advance.

SWTerra : I don't know if my method works anymore.
The latest plugin checks the files and they can't be set to read-only anymore.

It might be possible to change them and not write protect it, but I haven't done testing on it.
