I just received an interesting link, detailing 20 exclusive titles coming out this year for PS4. While they are very short teasers, and only shows exclusive games, I thought I would share the link with all of you to hear your thoughts and hype about any of the upcoming games (which I, as Sony Manager, will be glad to upload on the VGR).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gL2kX3EZKSA&et_cid=em_248209&et_rid=1160812&Linkid=%%%3dv%28%40hero1Alias%29%3d%%&

Some games have yet to be given a proper release date, while others already have it (technically, unless they get delayed for any reason). I can also tell you that a few of them will be released this present month.

I'm sure they haven't showed everything yet, so stay tuned for more news!

Personally I'd say there are a lot of interesting games at least even if I haven't been keeping up to date on most of them some that stand out to me personally are:

The Last Guardian

Out of all the games mentioned this is the only one I'm really excited for, I'm a huge fan of games like The Shadow of the Colossus and Okami, and this game was thought to be not much more but a hopeful rumor due to how it had been previously announced only to barely hear anything about it. What I have seen really does seem good so far, gorgeous graphics and seems interesting story wise this is probably the one game I can say I'm pretty sure I'll be picking up waiting for public reactions though once it finally do hits.

Ratchet & Clank

I more or less missed out on Ratchet & Clank when they were at their biggest since I never really got the opportunity to play the games but I have played Jak and Daxter and this game is supposed to be similar to those games but with most people saying they're even better many consider this one of the stand out franchises synonymous with Sony. So while it is going a lot on things I've heard from others I'm expecting it'll be good anyway since it is a remake. I've been waiting for a good 3d platformer to add to my PS4 library and many people hail Ratchet and Clank as THE benchmark franchise in that style of gaming in more recent years so will likely be picking it up.

No Mans Sky

Was waiting for this game to be mentioned in the video lol. This definietly seems like the most ambitious title from what I've seen what personally stops me from being fully excited to this other than just having a lot of other games I'm excited for (besides the ones I've mentioned I'm also really looking forward to games like Persona 5, Kingdom Hearts and the new Odin Sphere remake so got a lot on my platet already this year), the main thing is that this seems like a game that could easily end up disappointing or even just fail completely due to the scale of the project and the hype surrounding it. I'll be keeping my eyes on it though and depending on how it looks after having been released I may pick it up (assuming my wallet survives from all the other games).

The Witness

More or less the same thing as with No Mans Sky, while not maybe as ambitious of a game it's still interesting but is in my mind something that could easily end up be disappointing as well. I do like puzzle games and games like myst though and the fact that it's from the developer of Braid does at least peak my interest somewhat so I'll be keeping an eye on it even if I haven't decided on whether I'll pick it up regardless.

Horizon Zero Dawn

I'll be honest in that I've been trying to not get too excited for this game and thread carefully due to how it very well may easily end up disappointing me in the same way Watch Dogs did. With the developers really only being known for the Killzone series which I did try the latest entry of which felt really bland and uninteresting to me and mostly a generic shooter so it does beg the question if this is something they can really pull off. From what I have seen I can't help but get at least a little bit invested. I've always liked futuristic apocalypse settings that use robots and things like that in stead of zombies (since with the exception of The Last of Us who did somewhat of a twist I feel that's being overdone by this point) and the mention of Robotic Dinosaurs is kind of a guilty pleasure thing as in just how absurd it is though in a good way. The fact that this has been stated to be kind of a mix between Skyrim and the Assassin's Creed games in terms of gameplay does seem like it could be really interesting as well because after playing Skyrim for a while one of the things that I somewhat wished was there was more strategic combat and despite not really liking the Assassins Creed games outside of Black Flag I did feel the combat system was one thing that was good about it tired as it be starting to become now. Just please none of the buginess or unfinishedness of those games.

Some other exclusive games that I'll admit looks interesting (Fire Watch, Nier 2 and Drawn to Death notably) but I don't really know enough about to comment on but if at least some of these titles actually deliver on their promises it looks like this game can really stand its own against 2014 which was a pretty good year for gaming, likely even surpass it.

Zlinqx : The Last Guardian is really the most promising title so far.
Its really great that Ueda and his team are being kept on board by SCE for consulting.

Vanelan : Yeah, I'm pretty much inclined to agree with that sentiment due to past mistakes with games I'm usually pretty skeptical about games until they're actually released nowadays and find it hard to buy into hype. But this game is one I'm pretty sure about in a year otherwise filled with uncertainty if games will actually live up the expectations. I can only hope The Last Guardian will serve to introduce more people to these kinds of games.

Gotta say, I seriously don't understand the hype behind The Last Guardian. The E3 trailer made it just look like you took a few steps and called the dog...thing and it caught up. Then you take a few more steps, call it again, lather rinse repeat. :/

So I heard the references "This is like ICO! What an amazing game that was!" And I went to watch Ico videos. The one I saw had a boy who would take a few steps and call out to a girl that was following him, and she would catch up. Then he would take a few steps, call her again...lather rinse repeat. So I'm seriously asking, no hate intended: can anyone please explain the hype to me and let me know what I'm missing? Is it purely the story that makes this gameplay bearable, or am I missing something entirely?

As for what I'm looking forward to from that video:
No Man's Sky.
Not nearly as hyped for it as I was in 2014, but it looks pretty great simply because I like the idea of being able to more or less explore at my own pace and not really have to worry about running into other players. My only real issue is that I'm sure it'll be online only, and until I get a real connection, I won't be able to run it.

Horizon: Zero Dawn.
Like Zlinqx, I'm being cautious with this one because these kinds of games have a way of looking insanely fun, then flopping miserably and becoming a mindless button masher or boring "run in circles in an uninspired world with uninspired gameplay" kind of experience.

Gravity Rush 2.
I have yet to play more than the demo of Gravity Rush, but it looks cool enough, and the sequel should be interesting as well.

Ratchet And Clank.
Again, like Zlinqx I have never gotten to play Ratchet And Clank (any of them) as I tried buying the first one and the third one(?) but neither one worked. Lol I'm a sucker for 3D platformers and wish there were more on PS4, so this one will be something I seriously look into buying.

Uncharted 4.
This is a bit of a blind shot as well, since the demo of Golden Abyss is the only one I've played (but I plan to buy the Nathan Drake Collection), but this game looks pretty solid and Naughty Dog is one of the few AAA companies I have faith in to release a high quality game that isn't broken at launch these days.

Alienation.
I know next to nothing about it, but what I do know sounds good. Again, a bit of a blind guess.

Hellblade.
An Irish woman that fights the Vikings? Duh instant buy. Did anyone think I would want to pass this chance up? Lol Irish vs. Vikings is a huge part of my ancestry, and one of our prouder moments imo. Plus I love how it looks like it'll faithfully portray the Vikings as they were, rather than romanticizing them like most modern entertainment.

The Witness.
Been following this one for a while now. It looks pretty great, and I don't tend to go for puzzle games.

And The Tomorrow Children looks...weird. Lol I'll follow it up after release and see how it is.

Also all of my choices here depend on what kind of rating descriptors the ESRB gives them. If they have strong language, nudity, or other such things, I'll pass on them. Otherwise, these look good.

Eirinn : Gravity Rush is rated T, so no worries on that field. It has use of alcohol, but sometimes that's good, right?

Ratchet & Clank is given E10+, so no worries either. As for the new Uncharted, it isn't anything on top of the previous games.

No Man's Sky still has the rating pending, but it doesn't seem it will be anything over than T. For some reason, it seems that The Last Guardian will either get M or AO, which leaves me wondering as to how the final game will be like.

I don't have any info on the other games you mention yet, so you will have to wait until I add them in due time.

On a side note, I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the new Street Fighter or the new Gran Turismo, being the only games that have prequels available here in the RGR and also being big classic franchises and a referent on their respective genre. I guess I underestimated you, guys.
