Last day of competition!

janus : I think if you hadn't got DQd, it would've hugely increased my chances of hanging on to the Overall Green Jersey. I basically was her only competition after you got DQ'd so she was able to catch up to me pretty easily.

gamerforlifeforever2 : Like I said, even if this was one of the more least interesting TdVs, it definitely had thee most interesting Jersey competition in TdV history.

And there I go again, placing in Yellow and Blue. Not even trying to compete and I'm way above half the points I needed for a top 10 finish last July. I never cease to amaze myself.

This is it, ladies and gentlemen. Yuna leads the overall Green by a single point over David with less than 7 hours to finish. Which means that we can definitely see a tie for an overall jersey. The drama is on!

It's a shame that gamer seems to not be actively competing today, he still has a shot for 4th overall, being only three points away from Yuna. That's the only other open battle left for the last day, but seemingly it's already decided, unless gamer goes absolutely berserk.

I'm going to try and go for Blue and Yellow today, I think. I would try and go for Red as well but I got DQ'ed from Red and Green for being dumb. Oops. It's been a fun competition guys, even though I didn't get to go all out the entire month. You'll see me try my hardest during Summer

EX Palen : I actually haven't been actively competing for the last 3 days. I will be making my second review of the month later tonight, but not for TDV purposes. I said this a few days ago, but I don't care where I finish, since I've clinched a top 5 finish.

Ok, normally, I would never double post in this thread, but I have to ask this, and I'm sure David would understand, since I know he saw me looking at the race for green.

Davideo7 : How the heck did you manage to get over 1600 actions in such a short amount of time??? That's absolutely insane! Whatever coffee you were drinking, I want it, I'll never run out of energy that way lol!

gamerforlifeforever2 : It was a work in progress throughout the entire day. I rounded up a bunch of songs to download to eventually upload and that gave me the biggest boost in actions. I also invested a bunch of time taking tons of screenshots from Donkey Kong Country Returns (the game is huge so it offered a huge potential for a massive variety of screenshots). I also did a lot of song renaming (and some deleting) and while I was doing that, I'd go back and forth between that and uploading/adding the songs and screenshots.

It wasn't easy and winning the Overall Green Jersey definitely took a lot of out of me. I definitely have no plans on competing for that Jersey again, I basically wanted to win it once and after a few failed attempts, I was going to go all out this month to make sure I didn't come up short again. I don't necessarily regret the time invested though because I got a lot of site work done in the process, primarily site work involving the music feature on Vizzed (name still pending but I'm liking "Video Game Music Room" lol).

It's kinda crazy though that after all of the work I put into that day, I had almost exactly doubled Yuna1000's actions which worked out great since it gave me the extra 2 point boost which ultimately allowed me to pull off the win. It's true that I had an advantage of having a higher position which allowed me to do more actions per a CP action but that definitely doesn't mean it was easy because I basically had to have my entire day revolve around pulling that off. In fact, the past few days had to revolve around shrinking the gap between her and I.


Yuna1000 : That was quite a challenge and while I do feel bad about taking the overall lead from you, you can definitely walk away from this TdV knowing that you easily gave me one of the biggest challenges I've ever had in the TdV. I will not be standing in your way the next TdV so if you have your eyes on a 2nd Overall Green victory, hopefully someone else steps up to the challenge. Anyways, thanks for being a good sport.

This Tour de Vizzed will be remembered for its intense Green Jersey competition. Even though that competition was really only intense between 2 users for most of the TdV, it got pretty intense toward the end of the month with both users close in score and putting up insane numbers back and forth.

It'll also be remembered for the lack of new user competition. 2 different times a Newer user would come around and score some points and within days of scoring points, no longer qualify for the 90 day rule and then we'd go back to having no one in the White Banner competition.

What this TdV may be remembered the most for was the fact that it ended with no White Banner holder. The user who would have ended the competition holding on to it got banned due creating another account.

Congratulations janus on winning the 2016 Winter Tour de Vizzed!

This is obviously my best score in a TdV, but then again, I only really tried to compete in only about 2 or 3 of them, so I think I can do better next time, especially during Summer. I'm glad I at least made it into the top 10 overall and got over 100 points. Yay for me, I guess? This was kind of fun, looking forward to the Spring TdV. Just not now, obviously. I think we all need a rest. Good game everyone, good game.

Damn you, David, we were so close to see a tie for overall Green. Also, how awesome would it be for the co-winners to have 99 points each. But no, you had to appear out of the blue and destroy Yuna by making nearly a thousand more actions than her. No cookie for you.

As always, Vizzed seems on to a nice year after this TdV. Let's see if we can keep up the hopes in April!

EX Palen : The Tour de Vizzed doesn't allow for co-winners, there's always a tie breaker of some sort. Yuna didn't seem like she wanted to settle for a tie either, she went into that day with the intentions getting a ton of actions. By the time I woke up, she already had 100s of actions and for the longest time throughout the day, she had more than double the actions I had which lead me to think that maybe she was going for the 7 pointer. I'm honestly surprised that I even pulled off the 7 pointer. I knew she would do more actions in the last day than any day this TdV so I had to go all out and top that.

I don't regret going above and beyond what was necessary though because I may not have won if I settled with just beating her on the last day since as I said previously, I think the tie breaker would've gone to her since she was the previous holder on the Overall Green Jersey. I know that at one point (this was after she had already passed me) I had caught up to her in total points but she held on to the Overall Green Jersey lead so that to me kinda proved that she probably would've held on to it with the month ending if I had tied it up with her.

I held the lead most of the month and so it would've been a huge disappointment for me to walk away with another failed attempt at getting the Overall Green Jersey. Also keep in mind that she won it in the last TdV so you don't have to feel too bad for her.

I used that more as a figure of speech than something to really be taken seriously

Barathemos : In this case, the green jersey wouldn't have been for staff either because a regular staff member would only have been able to add less than 400 songs, while David went out almost to the maximum for his rank. Even if a staff wanted it, they probably wouldn't have been able to get close thanks to Davids max action.


This was a fun month, I have been looking at the board stats page all month and this was way more active than the last TDV, and just a bit better than even the summer one.

I came close to breaking my record for most posts in a month but I guess it was never meant to be.

zanderlex : I was basically saying that the limit is the problem and the fact that someone can go all out and get 1600 is a little obsered.

I'm sure the staff will chat about this so doesn't matter right now.
