Anyway, this was an acceptable day, even though I had no time to post a review. At least I could accumulate a few green points.

Today wasn't really as great as I thought it would be here, looks like things are ding down and I don't know if I have the motivation to keep up my streak of 60 post days.

Its cool to have passes 100 points but I probably wont be able to keep up that pace so hopefully I can finish with 250 points.

zanderlex : come on! You will still snatch the blue jersey and have at least 4 yellow points.

janus : Getting points means nothing if you didn't do enough to earn them though. Sometimes could win blue without having to do anything and that's not good enough.

zanderlex : True, there might not be a lot of "glory" to it. Nevertheless it counts for your overall points and, honestly, who will remember that "inglorious" point

Well, I went to sleep at around this morning, I could have stayed up and trues to keep up my streak but I knew if I stayed up any longer, i wouldn't have been able to get up now. I need to save my battery for 7PM when I'm taking pictures so I wont be able to be on much but ill try to get as much as I can done today

Really? Another opened day for the blue jersey?! I will certainly take advantage of it if the State of the Union address does not keep me too busy.

I really need to step up my game though if I'm going to stay in the top 10. Not that I see anyone who is likely going to take my spot right now.... I should work on building my lead up over Jordan so that I don't have to worry later in the month.

The amount that people post in here is getting a little ridiculous. That started happening last TdV and we kinda had to nip it.

I'm not too sure you have to worry about me anytime soon Geeo. I've tried to stay active, but things have just been too busy for me to really consistently post a ton every day. I mean maybe I'll get lucky soon but this month is already almost half over.

Some days I get like 30 posts and others I get like 5. Hopefully I can get more consistent from day to day soon.

Jordanv78 : at present trends you should be able to earn the blue jersey, with zanderlex seemingly being away.

Otherwise, sorry about our excitement for the tour and our constant posting. I usually try to leave at least 1 or 2 hour between each posting, usually more.

Jordanv78 : Even though on my more active days I've certainly been posting above average, I'm still aiming for quality over quantity here. Sorry if that doesn't seem to be the case this TdV, though.

I placed for Blue? After all the times I actually tried to place and failed miserably, now I get accidental points in the second hardest jersey for me? Surprising.

With all that posts I didn't place in Yellow as well? After the incredible average I'm scoring? Sad surprise.

Yesterday was a very dead day. Less than 100 CP to make top 3 in Red, and less than 60 actions for top 5 in Green. Less than 3k words for Yellow is somehow surprising as well. Let's hope this isn't the start of the downfall, it's a bit too soon for that.

On a side note, jlove becomes geeo's third temporal twin of the season  

Yeah, I know I'm going to be pretty busy for the rest of the afternoon though, So I'm not sure how much more posting I'll be able to do before the end of the night. I should have some time after dinner though. Good luck everyone!

I'm honestly of the opinion that no posts in this thread should ever count for a jersey.

As in, no blue, green, yellow, or red points can be earned by posting in this thread.

It might be a little over the top, but nothing of actual value happens in this thread, and people post SOLELY to boost their numbers, wholesale.

I know it's more a mod decision, but I think you'd find that by removing this thread as an option for "scoring" purposes, that the thread would stop resembling a spam pit, and begin to more closely resemble a thread where it is easier to track results by day, and one where discussion is more natural, and not the forced "I got points today" posts, that only bring in the traditional "yeah, I got less than I wanted" replies to that.

They add absolutely nothing of value.

legacyme3 : I've been saying this for awhile and I couldn't agree more. Like 90% of the posts in here are of little value to the actual forums. The issue becomes actually making an exception for this thread with regards to compiling the TdV and policing it.

It's a slippery slope though because I know people are excited about their stats and the TdV in general. So we don't want to TOTALLY rain on peoples parade so to speak.

I will say though, that this thread is hardly our biggest problem with regards to the TdV.

But the issue isn't that this is the biggest problem.

The issue is that this is probably the easiest one to solve, and it somehow hasn't been solved yet.

EX Palen : yellow is about the number of words, not necessarily the number of posts. I have over twice as many yellow than blue because my posts (well, the most important) are very wordy. As for the "downfall": when zander comes back everything will come back to normal and I will constantly be on edge.

legacyme3 : what percentage of people's points actually come from this thread? I get what you mean but should it be such a worry? If so why not try to monitor the top people and see how much of an influence posting in this thread was to their numbers.

legacyme3 : I do agree with you. Normally, people shouldn't post more than twice a day in here, but there's people posting +5 times in a single day. If geeo also agrees, maybe we could discuss "sealing" the next TdV thread.

janus : There's been people on the edge of being DQed for the 25% daily posts in the same thread just because they posted too much here. This should be enough proof, specially considering we're talking about people with +25 posts a day.

About missing points in Yellow, I only said that because I tend to write a ton of words per post. Almost always, I end up writing more words than Jordan, but for some strange reason, yesterday happened exactly the opposite.

After taking a few days off from the TDV, I think I'm ready to compete again, at least for a few days. I hope I can get a jersey or 2 today.
