ZeeTee : That's pretty bad I mean. In my days that was never allowed and when it did. That phone was never to bee seen again. And the parents of that child would ask what happened. But now they just.....I have no worlds for that. And using ipad and stuff for school work and more? I saw that happening in a way it was a matter of time it was going to happen in schools wasn't sure when. And yes I can confirm those teachers were right. There wasn't so much tests when I went to school. There was some but not to the point as it is as of now. '-'

mario102 : yeah that would be the most thing. And I would like expect like much better looking computers to be in those schools. School meals have changed? Not surprised as well....its truly sad how things just can change for the worst for people. It wouldn't have a nice affect. But what comes out from that is some good not a lot but still some in there in a way.

donvito : I had that too so I know what your parents feel. You couldn't have a say in most things on that. And I felt the structured way was the best thing that came out from school. And when you did very well prizes awaited for you like go on school trips and such and more. ^-^

Eniitan : Oh, there were some teachers who would take your phone and not let you have it until the end of the day if they caught you on it, and those were the stricter teachers, but it seemed that as time went by, the rule about no phones became less followed by and less enforced. I never really minded, I mean I don't have a phone so I couldn't take advantage of it but it never struck me as something really awful. Thinking back on it however it probably distracted me a whole lot.

Yes, the Ipads (and computers in the computer lab/library) are used strictly for schoolwork (you can go to a site called coolmathgames if the teacher says you can for taking a break purposes or as a reward for doing well). However their blocking website thing can be stupid at times. I know why it's in place, so that kids don't goof off, but history.com was blocked. Yes, you read that right, a really informative site about history was blocked, and I'm pretty sure that it's used frequently in other schools XD. Also funny story, my middle school used to have a lot of macs which were really expensive but some stupid kid decided to spray the fire extinguisher on them. Needless to say, they have a huge fine now and those macs are destroyed.

The tests are dumb. There are way too many of them, the teachers can't even see what questions are going to be on the test so they have no way of knowing what material to teach or not teach (they have standards but believe me they never helped the teacher teach better), and teachers are forced to teach by the tests instead of what they feel is relevant.

ZeeTee : Oh wow...thats a lot to take in. Where to start...I mean I wouldn't say its ok to have your phone it is but don't use it in class when you know you are learning about things. People with phones need to know because they don't use it for a certain period of time it doesn't mean you should use it in class because you are bored. And I don't also like for the fact how some teachers are being less strict about the phone taking. Second for the ipad. It should be used for school work only as you said before. I'm a little surprised to do with the block situation...I mean I;m sure other schools use it so....why block it? And as for the funny story I was really surprised that kid just destroyed those Macs I'm sure the kid was happy with what he did? Was a boy or a girl? I'm sure its a boy girls wouldn't do that not unless I am mistaken.... and as for those tests yes I can agree most are some. Teacher should only give out tests that they will be able to see the answers for. So its not too much for the students to handle or themselves. '-'

I think most of the changes are a positive change. I'm glad that teachers aren't allowed to spank kids anymore, because that's just cruel in my eyes. But there's on change that I'm pretty sure is also illegal. I think only my school does this, but if you get your phone taken up, then you either have to wait 3 days to get it back or pay 5 dollars. Wait excuse me what. You want me to pay 5 dollars on top of the things I already pay for for that phone to the school because they are money-hungry? My family is having financial problems at the moment and I'm not going to give 5 dollars to get my property back. You know what that is? It's basically blackmail. It's the most stupid rule I've ever had the inconvenience of knowing that it exists. I don't have a phone anymore, so it won't affect me, but I mean wow. I may be wrong, but I think that's a bit illegal.
