what is your worst pokemon generation i say 6 was the worst by far

my reason for hating gen 6

This is more my personal preferences than anything but I would say 6th gen overall in particular X/Y though I feel this can apply somewhat to ORAS as well since they didn't really change enough in my opinion. I think it's the one that brought the least things to the table. Uninspired and small region compared to gen 5 (which in my opinion was the most interesting looking) evil team who's motivations are poorly explained and doesn't even really feel like a threat with you constantly feeling 1 step ahead of them, and characters like gym leaders were mostly uninteresting and one dimensional save one or two exceptions. I mean I understand Pokemon games aren't exactly known for their story but you could at least put in some effort, especially considering how they managed to pull off a surprisingly good storyline with the BW and BW2 games which actually kept me somewhat invested.

The game also feels like the shortest one since the originals, with basically no post game to it and is poorly balanced with the exp share making everything a cake walk and not really making sense. While people argue you could turn it off, that just makes it more of a grindfest or having to keep type match ups in mind, the problem is more that there's no strategy involved in the NPC's pokemon movesets, with basically none of the gym leaders even having a party of five Pokemon this balance is even more off set by the poorly inplemented albeit cool looking mega evolutions making Pokemon without mega evolution that could otherwise be viable options suddenly near pointless to use hurting the whole aspect of team building.

Basically I feel like the gen 6 games were the only games that felt straight up like a downgrade from the previous generation. While I didn't like everything about subsequent jumps to a new generation and gen 2 is still a personal favorite of mine along with 5 it still felt like they brought something to make them an interesting enough experience to play in their own right while here not so much. There's trainer customizability but it's much more limited compared to other RPGs and Pokemon Amie isn't really that fun, the graphics are nice looking but they can't sell the game on their own to me and the sound track felt like the worst in some time especially considering how they went out of their way in gen 5 having gym specific soundtacks. It felt like they rushed the gen 6 games without really thinking through completely what impact the changes they were making would have on the game as a whole.

While I still like the franchise and this is kind of hard for me to admit, It really cements the feel of Pokemon having become a cash cow nearly at the same level Call of Duty is. Just rehashing the same game for the most part. I sincerely hope 7th gen (and of course there will be one because Gamefreak and Nintendo will keep going with the games as long as possible) there will be something new and interesting about it to make it a worthwhile experience. Honestly otherwise this may actually be the first Pokemon game I end up skipping.

Yeah....I have to agree to do with Gen 6 I mean Pokémon is now how it used to be.it seems like the anime itself is not cared for. Its really sad to see the quality is not there anymore and lost its touch. Reason why I don't try and play the new ones and only stick to the ones that were great. I mean Pokémon in a way is killed. '-'

I hate gen 1. 

I mean I get that it was the first generation of games out there but I did not enjoy myself for one bit while playing through blue and yellow. 
Maybe I'm a little biased because I started with gen 2 but they are easily the worst games out there. I'd recommend Fire Red and Leaf Green because those are actually playable.

I was also a bit disappointed with the lack of post- game content in gen 6. The story was mediocre at best and the different area's in the game were kind of lame. Especially the Furfrou mansion thing, I hated that part so much. 

Really not a fan of Gen 1 much anymore to be honest. The designs are weird and don't fit with the new mold (though I guess that's an issue with newer games more so than G1), the story is weak and the mechanics are buggy as crap.

evilcon09 : gotta agree with you there I liked the classic gen,gen 1 kanto I was so happy that in white two they had a tournement were you could fight like red and misty and brock and all that it was so cool,I also liked silver and gold but the newer gens arnt working out with me team rocket killed pokemon to take their skulls as black market trading material XD whats team flare done,prance around in rediculess outfits XD,team rocket had a badass leader to say the least he had this mafia look goin' for him I though it was pretty cool,newer gens seem to have a missing factor the old gens had and it wasnt to have as many pokemon as you can and cram it into a poor game in 2 months that literly take a few hours to beat as they continuesly take away online services everytime a new game comes along,pokemon red had a classic factor to it and makeing constant sequals is just rediculess they just keep on making really bad storyline their running out of ideas and thats pretty much why these games are getting shorter and crappier,at this point they should stop making pokemon games and just make dlcs for it,I'd cost a lot less and would save us the pain of buying a new pokemon game every 2 to 5 months, its just my opinion.

There isn't a Generation that I hate, but if I have to pick my least favorite generation, it has to be Gen 6, the reason why is because it has the fewest Pokemon than any other generations, and the whole gameplay seems a little weird, but there is still quite a whole lot of interesting thing in Gen 6, I like the Mega Evolutions and my favorite Legendary. So, it's not all bad, although I seen the other 5 generations slightly better though.

Gen 1 had some awful design and graphics. The pokemon looked plain ugly in the game. And you wanna talk about lazy design, most people will bring up Vanillite. But will you see anybody bash Voltorb, Electrode, Pidgey, or Ekans? Heck no! It's an unfair bias.

I don't like Gen 4.

The slow story pace of the Sinnoh games, the slow battle pace, the Pokemon sprites didn't do much for me, it bugs me how people's names were now spelled with lower-case letters but Pokemon's names were still spelled in ALL CAPS, the most annoying rival of all, underwhelming music, etc etc etc.

GREAT crime lord though. Cyrus was by far the most interesting of the crime bosses. Plus, it was actually difficult. But these things don't make up for the rest. I just didn't enjoy Gen 4.

I'll be signing my resignation papers ASAP and have cleared up my desk by tomorrow, and hopefully I'll avoid the angry mob... '

I personally don't like everything from Gen 6. A lot of the Pokemon are garbage and the Fairy type is so overpowered. It is becoming like the dragon type used to be. I also hate the Anime. The Anime hasn't been the same since Sinnoh, but the characters in Kalos were just downright ridiculous. Clement is so annoying and constantly blows things up. Bonnie is even more annoying than her older brother and is constantly playing with Dedenne. I found Serena to be decent, but Ash is so stupid in Gen 6. He used to be such a boss in Gens 1-5, but Ash is now a weirdo that won't win the Pokemon League yet again. Just a question for you guys: When do you think Ash will actually win a region's Pokemon League? I find it ridiculous that Ash has gone through 6 regions (not including the Orange Islands) and the farthest he has made was the Semis. He was getting better and better with each region up until Unova, but then he lost in the Quarterfinals. Sorry to go away from the topic a little bit, but I find Gen 6 to the worst generation in Pokemon. 

Now I admit 6th generation screwed up many things and all, but in terms of worst I have to say gen 1. Now I've played the retro games, and while I was engaged in Crystal, even more-so than Emerald to be honest, I just can't say that I like the first gen 1 games. The music may sound nice NOW, but the 8-bit renditions actually hurt my ears at times. There are several move exploits and bugs, like wrap with high speed and focus energy working in reverse, but also the game mechanics feel bad. The Special stat is overpowered, there's far too many poison types in this game, making bugs underwhelming, but not grass since almost every grass type (MAYBE every grass type) is poison as well, and makes psychic types even more OP than they already are. And the game feels too linear, not just in how the story progresses and how you travel, but also in pokemon options. There isn't much customization in these games, it's like every Blastoise will have hydropump and hyperbeam, every electric type knows thunderbolt, etc etc. Crystal and so on at least made efforts to balance out typing and give more options on how to customize a pokemon.

My least favorite gen is Gen 1. It's not a bad gen, it's just my least favorite out of them all. Gen 6 isn't over yet, and it's my second favorite gen. My favorite Gen is Gen 4. I love you, Platinum.

generation 2 sucked for me. Seemed to easy for me. Wonder if a new gen 7 is coming out or expanded gen 6

Definitely generation 6. I don't like the idea of a fairy type in general. "Light" type would have made so much more sense. What even makes less sense, is the fairy is super effective against dragon types. 
I like the legendaries (with the exception of Diancie - her design is nice though), but the other Pokemon are not the best. 
Also there weren't a lot of new Pokemon in general. I hope Sun and Moon will be an expanded gen 6, like the user below me mentioned. 

I don't understand why people dislike generation six unless they just hate change in general I for one thought that it introduced many things and revolutionized Pokemon. My least favorite generation is generation five it didn't have no additions whatsoever besides brand new Pokemon. The story wasn't even original and it had a sequel to Black and White which only added to the story in Pokemon Black and White and new locations.
