In this competition you need to record as much gameplay of Christmas themed video games as you can. Whoever records and uploads the most gameplay to the Vizzed YouTube account between December 1st and January 1st wins. You can upload videos to games in the Retro Game Room and the Video Game Room. In other words, even if a game isn't playable with the RGR Plugin, you can still record videos for it. Be warned though, you must only upload videos you recorded, if you upload videos made by someone else, you'll risk a permanent ban.


What Counts as a Christmas Game?
Any game that has 'Christmas' in the 'Theme' category in the detail area of a game page. If you find a Christmas game that isn't showing up on the list below, let us know so that we can make it so that they qualify because there are a lot of games that aren't categorized as Christmas games in the VGR and we're also missing quite a few as well. If the RGR or VGR are missing any Christmas games, we'll be sure to add them.

1st. 100,000 Viz or $50

Rules:
-Only videos uploaded after 12/1/2015 count
-You can submit as many videos as you'd like
-Videos must be good quality, otherwise they will not count
-If you upload a video that isn't your own, you will be banned
-The video should be exclusive to the Vizzed account (cannot be on another account)
-Your video must maintain a rating of 3 or higher on vizzed to qualify
-Videos can be any length
-If you decide to do playthroughs (aka longplay), you're only allowed 1 playthrough per a game
-If you upload more than 1 video per a game, each video should be unique
-Your videos must be uploaded to the Vizzed YouTube account
-You can record your video with the RGR Plugin or you can use an external program like Camtasia (recommended), Xsplit (Broadcast > Local recording), Camstudio, or Hypercam
-You can upload streams but you must edit out non gameplay
-Your video cannot contain more than 2% idling (moments when you're not playing)
-You must add at least 1 additional keyword to at least half of your submitted videos in order to qualify for a cash prize
-You may add videos to games that aren't in the Retro Game Room if you have a way to record modern games (these videos would need to be uploaded to the game pages from the Video Game Room)
-Your video cannot show too many failed attempts on a single level, course, location or battle (if you're taking too long to beat a level for example, edit the video and cut out most of or all of the failed attempts)


Payout:
The cash Prizes can be paid out in a few ways. I can purchase a membership on a website for you somewhere, I can order something for you off of amazon, I can send you the money via Paypal, I can buy you Microsoft Points, Nintendo Points or Playstation Points and send you the code, I can buy you an Amazon gift card and send you the code, etc.

I might try to compete in this one for a little bit, but with Xenoblade Chronicles X coming out in a few days, I'll probably be spending most of my time playing that game instead.

I have no real big game aside from Smash and Kirby and the Amazing Mirror that I'm putting a whole lot of time into, so I'll be trying to do something in this competition.

I think this is the first one I'll have participated in, actually.

I think I might actually compete in this one. I don't think I competed in the last 2 of these competitions but I've been craving some good Christmas games lately so hopefully I find the time for them.

Davideo7 :   Goody! Here's something else you can fix.

Whenever I hit the Step 2 button on the Youtube Video Uploader, it brings me to a Vizzed page that only says "Youtube Video Uploader". Not particularly useful if you are trying to upload videos to the Vizzed youtube channel. It began happening to me just this hour. If the problem is real (i.e. Won't fix itself), you can divert any damage from being done to your contest and youtube channel by fixing it right away.

There. Gave you a heads up. I'll try a few more times and then call it a night.

EDIT: I tried one more time and it allowed me to upload. Nvm!

Postman3 : I'm not having any troubles uploading so it'll be very hard for me to troubleshoot that issue. The script doesn't like it if there's a & in the title or description. Also make sure the title isn't too long and that there aren't too many keywords.

Sorry to be the dumb one who asks this stupid question, but what's a ballpark estimate on too many?

SWTerra : I think it really depends on the game and its difficulty. If you're constantly dying and using continues and making no progress, then the gameplay would just be boring to watch and therefore wouldn't count.

I'm almost done editing some parts of my video. I'll leave the rest till tomorrow or Mon I can't stay in the living room for too many hours. '-'

Just want to clarify something. I know you said that if you had too many failed attempts at a level or stage that you should try editing them out. What if you were to try redoing a game after hitting a 'game over', would that fall under that kind of thing as well? If it does, how many retries do you think you would allow per video?
