My favorite back in the day was Samurai Shodown.
That's what prompted me to buy a Neo-Geo arcade machine. :3

The first arcade game I ever played was Metal Slug 2. Hooked ever since. The first few time I played it though, I couldn't get past the guy on the camel on the first level LOL. Now, I can almost get through the first three levels without losing a life on the PSP. Galaga is my other favorite. I like to go up to the laundry mat and get the high score, then when I come back and some sore loser reset the machine to get rid of it, I get it again.

Awesome. I also had a smash through metal slug. Played it in some dingey rock club for 10p ago. I remember it being really hard on arcade. Then got it on console and smashed it on the hardest setting. Even tho theres no difference in the graphics or game play it seemed harder on arcade. A lot of the re makes I feel don't live upto the arcade versions.

I am sure my first arcade game was tekken 2. I can't remember the rest though it was so many years ago lol. Nothing feels the same with arcade games I mean it was really live then and you would run around find something you loved the play. What also was cool that you had many choices. Sometimes I would jump to one game or another if I was allowed. Nowadays arcade games are fading from existence because they are old and retro. Its really sad as this turns to memory's....

I vaguely remember playing Trivia Whiz and Galaga as a kid, and I was terrible at both.  My Galaga skills have since improved but my best score in only in the 70K range, which is nothing to write home about.  I can't explain why I played Trivia Whiz other than I saw other people playing it and noticed that it didn't have anything that would scare me.

My personal favorite was Capcom Bowling because I thought the animations were cute and I bowled a lot at the time, even if the game was tenpin and I bowled candlepin (I live in New England, where that particular variation has its niche).

My dad would take my sister and me to the arcade in the mall with a bucket full of quarters.  I loved that so much.  I liked playing the dungeons and dragons game at the local comic book store, and the first mortal kombat and killer instinct.  I remember having to stand in line for the fighting games cause everyone was playing those

I've never actually played on an arcade machine but have played a few roms from the CPS1, CPS2 and Neo Geo MVS and I liked those consoles.

(and only the royal family were able to own a neo geo when it came out or something)

I have remember that I have played some arcade games when I was younger. I remember playing Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, 1942, and a few others. I remember that a few times, I have went to the arcade with $20 worth of quarters and blew all of those coins in a snap, but that is what arcades are for. Cost a tiny bit but entertain us a whole lot.
