The question here is simple, which Sonic game was the first one you played? For me, it was Sonic the Hedgehog 2. It's still one of my favorite platformers from the 16 bit era. the only 16 bit Sonic game that I like more now is Sonic 3 and Knuckles. My favorite memory from Sonic 2 was the moment I first got to the Chemical Plant Zone. The music in that zone is actually my favorite Sonic theme from the 16 bit era.

Mine was sonic the hedgehog 2. I wanted to play the first but my bro said no that it was too hard for me in a way. I later played the game some years later and he was right. Since then I didn't play the game as I stressed you out in a way. @.@

But it didn't mean I never enjoyed it I did a lot it was just so hard. And for those who have played the game can agree with that. And with sonic 2 it was much more easier relaxing to play and not so difficult as the first one. '-'

My first Sonic game was actually the original Sonic the Hedgehog. I got it on the Wii Virtual Console, and I loved the series ever since. I did end up playing Sonic 06 as my first 3D Sonic game, which was a really bad place to start, but it made all the other games better because it set my expectations so low, I would've loved playing Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde way more than Sonic 06.

My first was the first on the Sega Genesis.  My Dad bought the console with Sonic and Golden Axe.  I have to say that out of all the Sonic games, I liked the second one the best.  The ring stage on the first one was just too much, but getting Super Sonic in the second one was awesome.  Almost impossible without a second player, and the cheats were fun to mess around with

I'm not much of a fan of Sonic games...mostly because I'm not very good at them XD However, I remember the first one I ever played was for the Sega Game Gear. Remember that thing? Yeah, that was a long time ago when kids needed 8 freakin AA batteries to put in it. It was a fun game to play. I haven't played much of Sonic since then.

My first Sonic game... hard to say. I know I owned for a short time my cousin's Dreamcast, and have memories of a Sonic game about that time, but I cannot really tell which one. I would say Sonic and Knuckles, but it was for the Genesis, and unless the Dreamcast was able to read such games, my memory has a ton of flaws.

The first Sonic game I clearly remember owning is Sonic Adventure 2 Battle for the GameCube. It's an incredible game, but still I haven't been able to complete it, but it's also true I haven't tried to complete it because of Chao Garden. I remember how scared my 10 year old self was when Sonic was pursued by a truck down the hills of San Francisco. Good old times.

The very first Sonic game I owned - I may have tried it on my cousins' Game Gear before - was Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Although I completely sucked at the game (I never got through Chemical Plant 2) I enjoyed the music quite a bit. Fortunately Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Knuckles made up for the insane difficulty of the previous one and had memorable music.

I actually never played sonic until Sonic Generations came out, and it instantly creeped up in to my top 5 favorite games series, although I don't like a chunk of the games because they all seemed the same to me, Generations and Genesis have always been my favorite of the Sonic games.

My first Sonic game was Sonic Heroes. A childhood friend of mine gave it to me for the Gamecube, and I instantly fell in love with Sonic ever since that day.

By the time I was old enough for my older sisters and brother to let me play games, we had both Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 1 for our Genesis. I don't remember which I tried first but considering how many memories I have of drowning in Chemical Plant zone, I think I might have started on Sonic 2.
Good times.... but not as good as the hours I later wasted raising the cutie widdle adorable chao when I got Sonic Adventure 2 Battle for myself.

If I can remember correctly, advance 3 was my first sonic game. I spent hours trying to collect the 7 chaos emeralds. Good times. Than again, it might have been that mcdonalds mini handheld game.

The first one I ever played was the original Sonic the Hedgehog on Genesis. By the time I was old enough to actually play, we had 1 - 3 ( 3 will always be my favorite of the original trio, only one I spent enough time in to get all 7 chaos emeralds ). I was so excited as a kid getting "Super Sonic" the very first time, words could not explain the joy I felt. That day may just be the happiest I've ever been in my life

The first Sonic game I played was Sonic 2006 for the Playstation 3 and it would be the game that made me get into the series. Instead of taking steps forward I took steps backwards into the series and would go on to play Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic Heroes, Sonic Advance 3, Sonic Riders, and finally would play Sonic Unleash. After playing that game I would not go on to play newer Sonic games like Generations even though I've heard great things about it.
