So is there anybody that plays runescape or has played runescape in the past? I started playing runescape again but it's the 'old school version'. I hate the new runescape... not my style lol probably because I am so used to old school. I know I'm such a nerd lol It passes time by though and I like that.

I've been playing it on and off since 2007 right before the graphics were updated, it's a very grindy game but it was the one that introduced me to MMOs so it's still a special experience to me and there are some pretty cool things about the game still though (like the questing system and the pretyt interesting lore) overall I've wasted countless hours playing the game. I still come back to it now and then and sometimes buy a 1 month membership but it's mainly to the new runescape. My character is still somewhat newb-ish though probably because I mostly just like to mess around and do quests Now time passes quickly enough by doing other things though so never gotten as active as I used to be.

I did try old school a while after it was released, the only thing I liked more about it was how pvping was much more common since pvping in the newer game became much more rare (even if it didn't die) after the combat system update, but was never a huge pvper so it wasn't a deal breaker for me anyways.

I haven't played it in a really long time but I used to play it all the time back in the day. I think it was like 2005 or something and I loved it but I didn't play it for too long. I played it for like 2 years all the time but then I randomly just stopped playing and I haven't played it since then.

I doubt I will be going back there though, it still seems fun but I have too many other things to do and games to play so I probably can't get back into it.

I didn't even know there were two versions, but I used to play one with GenesisJunkie. All I remember is some sort of battle between Saradomin and some other god and players chose a side. There was also a battle arena where all of these enemies (though I think they were AI, not players) would spawn constantly and you could battle as long as you wanted, but as I recall they only engaged you if you attacked first. Man that part was fun. The questing lost my attention after Genesis quit though.
