Davideo7 : I've never gotten more than 5-10 points any time. I was posting slower once the TdV started and I would post during the VCS when we had both going for a while instead of the TdV. The VCS was sort of my thing.

However, I do see a chance at ranking this time around. I don't care about winning outright. Ranking at all will be an accomplishment

Is it just me, or is the Green jersey pretty dead right about now? I mean, in the summer we had a lot of competitors. Like, you needed at least 100+ actions to even get points. And now, it seems like I'll be able to get daily points with less than 100 actions. tbh, Zlinqx sorta quit this TdV, and it doesn't seem like Ferd is gonna compete that much, but still. It could just be a summer thing, but it's still kinda odd for me. I expected a ton more competition XD.

ZeroTails : Yeah, I'm pretty surprised about that myself. I don't get why the competition has died down so much in that jersey, but it's great for me! Easy points FTW lol!

gamerforlifeforever2 : Well, I guess the good thing about that is I can compete on the weekdays (mind-blown) and hopefully stay in the top ten of the TdV .

And we can never forget the easy points. Easy points are AWESOME X3. And the Green is also one of my stronger jerseys, so even easier points? :v

It's been a really close effort today. Even If I don't grab the jersey, I'll be proud knowing that I came near close to doing so.

ZeroTails : The 3 biggest users from like the last 5 TDV's who did most of the competing for green are pretty much gone, not just zlinqx. Look at Ferdinand and Kramer, who both on average got more that 300 actions per day.

Sometimes, I wonder if we should just make the White Banner an award for the person new to the Tour de Vizzed who scores the highest...

Like, in any given month, there's not a guarantee someone new will place in the Tour de Vizzed at any point. When I was new, I didn't even touch the forums for two weeks. And there are those who go to the extreme.

If a user like say, John or Dragon master (just the first old users I could think of who hasn't scored in a TDV) came back today, and decided to post up a storm, and scored points in the TDV, they'd be eligible for the white banner in this TDV only.

It would open up the door to allow the White Banner to have actual competition, and give people who have been here longer but never scored a chance to get in on the action.

Probably just a dumb idea, but one I randomly had tonight.

Supercrash64: Honestly, I imagine you'll probably get it because I'm struggling just to find places to post now. That's what happens when I go all out the first 5 days lol!

legacyme3 : That makes sense, but it still wouldn't make for too much competition because a good 90% of the people who score would already have had points before, and just a handful of points would be given to each person unless you get lucky with a new very active user.

No matter what we do, the White Banner is never going to be highly competitive, I feel.

legacyme3 : Agreed, we'll be lucky if there's even a new user that reaches 5 points this time around lol! Unfortunately, there's nothing we can really do about it. The new users have to post in order to get that white banner, mainly because blue's their best chance at getting points.

legacyme3 : If all else fails and it dies, it could always be converted to one of the new banners/jerseys David has been talking about in the past, like one for the winning team, instead if making a brand new one.

legacyme3 : Well, if you change that rule for users that get their first jersey, Geeo would have earned the white banner just today

David was thinking on something for the veterans, so I hardly see the white banner getting changed. The white banner has seen almost no competition lately, in fact I think all the users who placed for it in July got 10 points in total. It's still soon to say anything, maybe another user can come and make 100 posts in their very first day in here again and surprise everyone.

legacyme3 : I kinda like the idea of users qualifying for the White Banner who have never participated in the TdV before. The only problem I see with it is how difficult that might be to implement. I may look into it at some point but if it's too time consuming then I'd probably not bother.

At the moment, the White Banner just serves as a way to get new users to become interested in the site and active and it has been successful at doing so in the past. Some users who have become very active users became active because they earned the White Banner.

After looking at the Hall of Fame just now, here's a scary but interesting fun fact. Everyone (except Razor-987) that placed in the Summer 2013 is now permabanned. This includes thing1, Fireproof and Divine Aurora. That's kinda creepy actually because there has only been 1 other TdV placer that ever got permabanned and that was thing1 in the Summer 2014 TdV and in that he got the Yellow Jersey (which also happens to be the Jersey that Razor-987 won in that Summer 2013 TdV).

Having it based on people who are new to the TDV could also bring people to the site in the sense that it could bring older people who haven't been active before.

zanderlex : The future Gray Banner, which is for users who have been around for 5+ years, is sorta intended to do the same.

So, if a veteran user was to wear the gray and rainbow banners, would he/she be wearing a 50 Shades of Gray banner?

What about if one of those veterans is a person who chose the "genderless" option back when it was available? Would it be the same with geeo's name and the white banner?

EX Palen : lol, I can just imagine someone now with a grey username and the rainbows all around them. Imagine if Geeo got the grey banner.

EX Palen : If someone was wearing both banners then the Rainbow Banner would override it since it's viewed as a greater accomplishment. I'm pretty sure the same thing happens when someone is wearing both the Rainbow and White Banners.

The color of a genderless user I think is a shade of grey. It wouldn't be the same as geeogree's name.
