Watching the premiere of Quantico was a mind blowing experience. After watching the commercials for the show, I began to grow more and more interested in it, and when it was time to watch, it did not disappoint. If you like drama and suspense, then this is the show for you because it spins you round and round until you don't know which way is which.
In my opinion, the concept of switching between the present and past as if they are two separate presents is very clever and only makes the show more intense. Im not a big fan of how the past and present alternate every few minutes for the reason that it could get hard to follow, but being able to watch the conflict and what leads up to the conflict at the same time is amazing, much better than watching half a season to get to the truly juicy stuff.
Sure, the fact that Grand Central Terminal was bombed makes for good drama and an amazing plot, but the acting is one of the reasons that the show started off with such a bang. Pretty much every character who had a line, no matter how small, had caused drama or an intense moment one way or another, and all the stars perfected their roles, fitting into their characters with ease.
Include the star, Alex Parrish, played by Priyanka Chopra, Shelby Wyatt, played by Johanna Braddy, Ryan Booth, played by Jake McLaughlin, and Liam O'Connor played by Josh Hopkins. Yes, everyone had a great role so far, whether its something they said or did, but these four are special. Their acting, as well as their characters actions and interactions are spot on and even the things they do that don't add to the drama, add a whole lot more meaning to the story. For some of them, such as Braddy and Hopkins, one could assume that some of their past roles could also be a sign that they were meant to be in the show and that good things are to come.
I doubt there's much more to say, especially since there's less than 45 minutes of footage, but Quantico is definitely worth watching, it's like watching one of those murder mystery games and shows with an exciting twist, and if I'm nor mistaken there were also some scenes with good music.
I have not seen a new drama this good in many years and deserves a full 5 stars. If you miss out on Quantico, you are missing out on a lot.
