So for those of you who watch the Super Bowl do you favor the game itself or the $1 million ads, or whatever they cost this year?

What are your plans for the big event? Or I suppose I should ask how many of you plan on watching. If you are, are you going to a party for it? The Army usually takes a day or following morning off to be able to watch it, as a lot of people in the Army, or military for that matter, drink. Not supposed to show up for formation drunk in the morning. I'm not even sure what I'll be doing. I watched it last year when I was in Korea, but I had to get up at 5 a.m. because of the big difference in timezones. But it sucked since on Army TV programs they don't have commercials, so instead of being able watch the high dollar ads we only had Army commercials for safety stuff and a bunch of other useless things. It sucked. I'll be watching, but I won't be going for a specific. My team, the Vikings, lost the game they needed to advance. What a pity. But at least they stomped the Cowboys and made it that far.

I actually rarely watch most of the game really. I do have it on so I can see the commercials and stuff, but in general I catch the compilation of commercials that show up the next day.

But I plan to watch this one. I've followed the NFL more this year than any other year so I'm interested to see how it goes.

And I'm not sad the Vikings didn't make it.... cause of Favre.

Oo heck yes! My boys the Saints are playing.. Not from New Orleans, but since im from LA and we dont have a team I choose one a couple years ago to root for, and that choice was the Saints because Reggie Bush went there, so now I got a team in the big game!!

were having a party, we all take it pretty seriously over here.. typical party though, beer, free fridays (best friends mom is a manager), and betting! lol cant wait.

I try to watch both, but if I have to choose, I'll miss part of the game. The trick is to eat/drink absolutely nothing during the day and a half leading up to the game, barricade your doors/windows, and make sure your electric and cable bills are paid. If there are to be others watching with you, hide the remote after first removing the batteries, and just in case someone manages to find it and for some unfathomable reason doesn't want to watch the Superbowl, hide all the rest of the batteries as well. That should take care of any and all problems you might have with missing of the Superbowl experience.

Depends on if a team I like is playing. Even then I don't watch it too much. I usually just watch it for the commercials. I think that Wal-Mart clown commercial should've been saved for the Super Bowl.

There is no doubt that I will be watching the game. Saints vs. Colts is going to be an excellent high-powered matchup. The commercials are funny, but they have started to become less funnier as each year as progressed. I'll be watching for both, but mainly the game. I'm sour that my Eagles aren't repping the NFC in the Super Bowl, but it's fine. I'm a huge football fan, and Super Bowl Sunday is where it's at.

I actually watch the Superbowl for both, but I watch it mostly for the game itself.. Because of college AND work pretty much taking up every second of my time, I don't get practically any time to watch football anymore, but when Superbowl weekend comes around I specifically ask for the day off to sit back and enjoy the football game, and the epic commercials help some too haha

I love the commercials, and I try to watch both, but the real reason I watch is for the game itself.

I always watch for the game, but this year was special I called the Colts and the Saints in the Super Bowl in the 6th week of the regular season. And to see the Saints win there first Super Bowl in there first appearance shortly after hurricane Katrina devastated there Super Dome is just awesome. And I must say Drew Brees is turning into one of the best quarterbacks ever to play and he deserved to be named Super Bowl MVP.

Best think about the Super Bowl is it means just one more week until the Daytona 500. Not only is that more exciting than the game but their commercials are better anymore than the Super Bowl's, especially the Toyota and Napa ones.
