I came here not just to play games but to get a deeper understanding of gaming elements and tropes. I am also planning to start a career as a game developer. Unfortunately, I am a somewhat socially inept person and I am pretty shy and secretive, even on the Internet. I also tend to be insecure. So this site will help further my personality. I am currently obsessed with Splatoon and the Mother series. I also like to play Minecraft on occasion. Other games I have played are, to name several, Pac-Man, Super Mario, Mario Kart, Donkey Kong, Galaga, Sonic, and Angry Birds. By the way, I actually started an account a few months ago and uploaded a high score for a Pac-Man game in which I came in third place, but I didn't post this until now.

At first, I didn't want to post much because of those same reasons, and here you have me with a four digit post count. It's very important to note how you made the step to create this thread, there's people who doesn't even make one, so from now on check all forums and keep an eye on the threads/forums you are interested in and open yourself up to the community.

Planning on being a game developer? Man, that's so cool! What kind of games would you create if you really became a developer? Would they be exclusive to one gaming system or multi-platform?

You really don't need to worry too much about being socially inept on this site, we're pretty welcoming as long as you're not too mean. And you really don't seem like a mean person.

I mean, you're not gonna rip them off, but you can take a few notes from their design and their success. I really hope that your game development career is successful.  The game industry needs some new, innovative blood to fuel it. Hope you'll have a great time on the board!

So yeah, do you know what platforms you plan to launch on? What language(s)? And what engine?
