Hey all!

Just stumbled across this site. Decided to jump into the pool with all y'all.

Stuff I like.

Metal and Rock are the best genres. Vinyl beats CDs any day of the week. I'm also fond of trance and hip-hop.

Ghost in the Shell, Jing: King of Bandits, Yu Yu Hakusho, The Crow, V for Vendetta, and Batman: Year One are my favorite manga and comics.

I'm mostly into old action moves. Death Wish II, Die Hard, Cobra, etc.

Favorite video game series? Pac-Man, Bomberman, Super Mario, and Kunio-kun.

Thanks for having me!

Welcome to the site!

I do agree that Metal and Rock are awesome, but for me personally they aren't the best. Trance, for example, and hard techno styles are my preferred, though I must admit that every now and then a nice metal song puts me on the mood.

Nice selection of manga and comics, though I haven't read any of them lol. Only Jing and The Crow are unknown to me, I've heard something about the rest in one or another way (I've seen the movie of V for Vendetta, although I don't know how loyal to the comics is, and well, Batman is almost omnipresent).

Never heard of those movies, but I have to admit I'm not a big fan of the world of cinema. And also, I have to search what Kunio-kun is about, sounds awfully kawaii for a videogame.

Be sure to visit the board often! And remember, we staff are here to help in any way we can.

Your preferences? I prefer power metal, downtempo, and DnB.

I've currently got Paul Van Dyk, ParagonX9, Judas Priest, and Dokken on my music playlists.

"I've heard something about the rest in one or another way (I've seen the movie of V for Vendetta, although I don't know how loyal to the comics is"

Kinda loyal. Less so than Watchmen. They turned the plot into a civil uprising of the masses, but the main character in the comic was a lone wolf and more of a bomb-throwing anarchist.

I'm being literal on that last part.

"Never heard of those movies, but I have to admit I'm not a big fan of the world of cinema."

Death Wish is just Dirty Harry but with less one-liners and it gets crazier with each sequel.

If you know what Dirty Harry is, you'll like the first two, at least. They don't make action movies like they used to.

"And also, I have to search what Kunio-kun is about, sounds awfully kawaii for a videogame."

Ever played River City Ransom or Crash and the Boys? Both are part of the Kunio-kun series. It's the granddaddy of beat-em ups.

Thanks for the welcome!

Hi Numa, welcome to Vizzed! Glad that you are able to join us! I was looking at your movie interests. Big fan of Die Hard, but is it really considered old now? Man, how time flies. I have a guilty pleasure on those types of movies. Nowadays, they try to make stuff like the Expendables, which really is just a film that is made for guys to see a bunch of gritty action.

Anyways, hope that you enjoy your stay around here. Make sure that you check out the other forums on this site and post your thoughts there as well.

My preferences? Well, in terms of techno styles, I go with gabber, UK hardcore, hardstyle and of course the good old trance of the 90s and early 2000s. Angerfist, S3RL, Brennan Heart and Milk Inc are probably the most prominent examples of each genre.

About metal, I'm not that knowledgeable in discerning all types. Rammstein is by far my favorite, but I don't really go deep into rock/metal playlists as much as with techno or trance, so I only have one or two songs by some bands.

I've really become interested in the V for Vendetta comic if the film is that loyal to it. I need something new to read, although I'm more of a manga reader than comics.

And about Dirty Harry, I've heard about him, but haven't watched any movies, you know, for not being a fan of that world.

Not a big fan of beat-em ups either. I'm more into Tekken or Soulcalibur, one vs one fights where skill does matter over brute force or sheer numbers.

On a side note, I don't know if it was intentional of you not to summon me. You can summon a user to a thread by writing their name correctly and then a double colon, that way he/she is notified that someone has required his/her assistance in a specific thread. However, take note that you cannot summon people if you're editing an already made post, so don't try to repair a failed summon by editing your post, whether the name was written correctly or not.

play4fun : Thank you!

EX Palen : Isn't S3RL still around? I've been listening to Angerfist's podcast for awhile now.

I think I still have some Happy 2b Hardcore CDs lying around. Global Chillage is one of the better ambient/IDM albums I've heard.
Need to buy it.

The film is quite loyal to the comic, albeit a shortened version. The spirit is the same as the comic's too.
It's got a very distinct art-style. I'd recommend it.

I got it for cheap on Amazon as a paperback. I read it while eating a pizza at Schlotzsky's.
The best way to read single-volume comics.

It's fine if you don't like the same movies as me. I like those movies for the cheese factor and the soundtracks.

Not liking beat-em ups is an unacceptable sin, however.

My mistake. I'll keep that in mind from now on.

I'm also a fan of Mario and Pac-Man (Just thought I'd say that even though it's obvious in my username XD) Rock is one of my favorite genres of music.

Welcome to vizzed! Have a great time here and if you have questions or problems you can contact one of us staff members. We're always happy to help!
