Not to come across as being spammy, but before I make any recommendations, can we know what system(s) you're asking for? And what genres do you prefer?

I saw Gamecube! I'd absolutely recommend Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean. In my opinion it's the most visually stunning Gamecube game I've ever seen. The magnus (Cards) system is really unique also. You use these cards for everything, fighting, healing, storing items, etc... But some items will change over time. Like, you grab some Ice, if you wait too long, it'll turn into Pristine Water, wait some more it turns into Stagnant Water. Grab some Lava, after a while it'll turn into a Hot Rock, wait some more, it turns into a Stone. I've yet to see another game do something like that.

The combat is a little weird at first, but it's easy to pick up, especially when you start grabbing more cards. By far one of my most favorite games. The voice acting a little weird, it sounds like they're speaking through a plastic tube, but the graphics are amazing, the story blew me away, and the characters are all great. Absolutely check it out, if you're looking for great games. It does have a sequel which is... Not as good. XD

Do PSX and PS2 classics on PSN count? :3 If so...

•Future Cop L.A.P.D. has an insanely addictive mode called Precinct Assault that I've never tired of.

•Dino Crisis 2. A great shooter title.

•Harvest Moon: Back to Nature. This of course received my vote for best PSX game on the current poll running on the PlayStation Blog.

Now for actual PS3/4/Vita games.

•Batman: Arkham Knight (PS4) Easily one of the best games I have ever played. Tons to do, an amazing story, and just tons of fun.

•Knack (PS4). Only if you like old school adventure games.

Note that the following are games I've never tried, but plan to buy in the very near future.

•Freedom Wars. (Vita)

•Dragon's Crown. (Vita)

•Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor (PS4)

•Helldivers. (PS3/4/Vita)

•1001 Spikes (PS4/Vita)

•Dungeon Hunter Alliance (PS Vita)

•Genji: Days of the Blade (PS3). This is the second game in the series, but the first one is the only one I've played, and it was an amazing game.

I hope I'm allowed to suggest games I haven't actually played. If not, my apologies.

Oh and for GameCube, The Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess is a great game.

Too bad you didn't say PS2. I have a ton of suggestions for that one. xD

For Gamecube:
-Metroid Prime 1 and 2: Fantastic overall games. Tons of action. Tons of atmosphere. Two of my favorite games of all time. I can't recommend them enough.
-The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. It's a bit expensive nowadays, but it's still worth every penny. This game is "adventure" defined.
-Killer7: If you want an experience unlike any other game you've played and like weird, surreal stories, this one is for you. I personally love it.

For Wii:
-No More Heroes 1 and 2: Like Killer7, these games will be unlike anything you've ever played. These ones are hilarious and surreal and awesome in every way.
-Metroid Prime 3: Self explanatory. See Metroid 1 and 2 above.

For PC:
-Cave Story: It's a free downloadable game that has awesome gameplay and could easily be mistaken for an awesome SNES title. Great story as well. It can be downloaded for free here: http://cave-story.en.softonic.com/
-Roller Coaster Tycoon: Why not sink hours of your life away building a theme park?

Hope you find something you like in this list. I have tons of more recommendations if you'd like more.

You could get the HD collection of the Kingdom Hearts games for PS3. While the first game isn't as plot heavy as the other games (unless you want to read into some reports that you can find through the games), and the Disney characters might be a turn off to some people, it's really easy to quickly fall in love with once you play it. There's a lot of weapons and abilities to unlock, and satisfying bosses to defeat. The game is easy to learn, but there's a lot of challenges and room to master it once you get hooked, with secret bosses and an expert mode once you've finished the game once.
Also, if you plan on getting the Kingdom hearts 1.5 remix to ps3, don't begin with Chain of Memories, as it's a remake of a gameboy advance game using a card based battle system.

TristanTehGamer1 : Googled it, and you're correct, the 2.5 collector edition includes 1.5 and some other good stuff. Not sure if it's possible to find it for a reasonable price anymore though.
