Okay so a couple of days ago steam was working fine... here lately though after I launch a game .. any game for that matter it takes quite a bit for the game to come up... I don't understand how it was working fine and everything was launching fast and now everything is slow and it's not launching. Steam is the only program I'm having any problems with.. if somebody could give me some suggestions on what I could do it would be helpful. I have already did nessicary updates for steam and restarted my computer.

Just a thought - the problem might not be with steam but with a video driver or something. Maybe check that those are all up to date. It's really hard to give much advice when there isn't a whole lot of information give here.

Try updating other stuff and see if that helps.

This sounds like specific issues loading these games themselves. Probably a video setting or something. My best advice would be to contact Valve support. They've always been helpful to me in the past on the rare occasion were something weird was going on.
