I am a very big sonic fan and I want to know what  your least favorite sonic game is, why? And what is  your  least favorite level?. My least favorite sonic game would be sonic unleashed (xbox 360). I don't like it very much because  it is very long and I hate the concept of you changing forms. My least favorite level is the hot dog levels. (night missions)

The new sonic boom video game series. In my opinion, It's simply just awful. What is there to like about it...?

The Sonic Boom games are bad enough.

Really, my most hated is Sonic Genesis, the GBA port of Sonic 1 by SEGA themselves in 2006 to celebrate the 15th anniversary. A big failure to SEGA in general. One spin dash and already, you're flying at Mach 8 and it allows a stage to be completed in just seconds. I mean, it can take less than 15 for Green Hill 1, but I can't beat Labyrinth act 3 in any sonic 1 version so how will I ever get to the final zone? Oh, and how terrible is the ending recreation in that port?

I haven't played a lot of them, but so far my least favorite is actually the original Sonic the Hedgehog. I just don't like it. I don't like the pace, I hate the music, the art's mediocre...I just don't like it.

Hidden Phantom : I agree. The first one didn't really seem all too great for me either. Sonic the the hedgehog 2 is what really got me into the franchise.

all of them? I've never understood the appeal of Sonic. The gameplay was always so awkward to me. I have avoided those games for as long as possible and am still confused when people talk about how much they loved certain games in the franchise.

For me would be sonic 06. It was rushed also they did something in that game that should never had happened.

Can't really decide about my least favorite level but I doubt many people are going to answer anything except Sonic 06 or Sonic Boom as far as major sonic games go. My least favorite personally is Sonic Boom. Sonic 06 had some potential hidden under it and an awesome soundtrack (love solaris phase 2 :3) but Sonic Boom was just pretty much just all around junk in my opinion.

Nonsensical story, completely one dimensional annoying characters, crappy graphics with embarrassing textures, a soundtrack that is barely even there and often times doesn't even sound like it belongs on the level it's for, bad controls and most importantly... Boring gameplay. 

Thankfully not many people really contest that, if I was to pick the most overrated Sonic game? That would be an entirely different story.

My least favorite Sonic game has to be Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood on the DS because of a wonky battle system & the fact the POW moves fail the instant you mess up (especially Cream's Heal & Cure moves). I stopped playing once I reached Chapter 8 because I just did not feel like continuing the game anymore due to those flaws.

My least favorite is Sonic 06. Ik it is actually a lot of people's least favorite game as well. I CAN'T STAND THE FINAL LEVEL IN THAT GAME lol. I would much rather play Eggmanland from Sonic Unleashed. Just a little rant there. yeah. The final level isn't my only complaint though. My biggest complaint is that the game could've had so much more in it. Also all those Mach speed sections, and the heavily flawed control, as well as the story that makes me facepalm. Especially the fact that Sonic had a relationship with a human girl in that game....

I actually enjoyed some of the stages that Sonic 06 has to offer. But in general the game is just bad overall, like really BAD.  The only thing I liked about the game is that it introduces us Silver the Hedgehog.

Poor Silver, having to be introduced in such a horrible game, it's no use.

cnw64 : You explained it more better than I did. Yes the game had some ok moments. The soundtracks is one of them it was amazing, and it had some great stages in the game play as you said. That's the only thing I liked about it. The rest was horrendous. Yep that's the best way to put it horrendous. 

Call it generic but, Sonic 06. What is there to like in that game? The story is a trainwreck, and I know it's Sonic, so I wasn't exactly expecting a great story, but the story we got was just awful, there's nothing likable about it. Sonic barely acts like Sonic in it besides in the opening cutscene. Do I even need to mention the glitches? Or the fact that Sonic is technically broken? You can use his special abilities forever because the game wasn't tested, and Sonic can just cheese the game. There's also that ball puzzle with Silver that took me nearly 3 hours to do (Yes, 3 hours, in a Sonic game). Why does the game try to have a realistic artstyle too? It's a Sonic game, I don't think anyone plays em for realism. The only redeemable thing I can even think of is Sonic 06, and that's mainly for the Solaris boss theme and the ending theme, all the other tracks I can't remember. It's really just a trainwreck and a terrible way to celebrate 15 years of a beloved franchise.

Oh, oh, and let's not forget those terrible mach speed sections, where you can barely even control Sonic. I hope you enjoy going so fast the game will sometimes make you fall through the world and game over. It doesn't help if that happens, you gotta replay all of Wave Ocean because the game doesn't autosave until you finish an action stage! Why?! To quote ClementJ642's review on YouTube "Why would you not autosave?! The other Sonic games before this one had autosave, every regular video games have autosave!". I'm surprised the series even survived after 06 truthfully.

2005-2009 was such a horrible time for Sonic, the fact that we got a Sonic RPG by Bioware that still managed to be terrible really shows how low Sonic had sunk in that time. It's truly a miracle the series is still alive.

That's actually quite sad to hear that you can't save how the old ways used to be. but...but why change the save status? That has always been the rule of sonic games. dang...thats really bad. Good thing I don't play sonic games of today, or I'll be stressing myself over something that shouldn't had been needed of in change. Well done Sega *claps* you have truly destroyed sonic. I am actually quite shocked that sonic series is still alive too with all that has happened. '-'

Eniitan : Too be fair, that was nearly 10 years ago, and to my knowledge, every Sonic game since besides The Dark Brotherhood has had autosave. I could be wrong, but with The Dark Brotherhood, that's an RPG, so it's expected of the player to save really.

...well ok maybe I do - In Sonic 06, the game regarded as the worst before this masterpiece came out, the glitches weren't actually all that bad. Sure, there were the game-breaking and agonizing ones but there were also many ones that let you have a fun time messing around and purposely breaking the game like flying a crate into space. Now in Sonic 06 the frame-rate is terrible, the glitches are mainly boring (except for the patched super-jump from Knuckles), the framerate and graphics lower even more once another player joins in and... blah, you get the drift. it's horrible.


...also I'm weird. I liked the Sonic RPG and I still have it along my DS collection. Sure it isn't a Sonic game at all but I still like it.
