legacyme3 : It sounds to me that your qualms should be with the state you live in, not so much the affordable care act, as I'm not really sure how you wouldn't qualify for state assistance health care if you are under-employed, or unemployed all together.

So as to not delve too deeply into your personal life, what would your options be regarding health care if all of a sudden the affordable care act ended? Just not have any insurance? Have you ever priced out health insurance on your own before the care act started? Even I would have a hard time affording those prices gainfully employed.

Jordanv78 :

Not have healthcare.

I didn't have it before, and I was just fine with that.

I'd rather have no healthcare, honestly

Ted Cruz-98% (Woohoo, he's my favorite, maybe because just hearing his name (not reading it) it sounds like he's the bro of Tom Cruise, and that would be bad***(Starred is myself)
97% with Rick Santorum. He's cool.
95% with Marco Rubio. These three were my top picks anyways lol. It said I agree with them on most major issues.
94% Jeb Bush. I dunno, he seems to much of a politician for me, a 'Rhino,' if you will.
93% Rick Perry. Don't know much about him so meh.
93% with Trump. Aight, time for the speel.
I think Trump is a cool guy, I think, with his business experience, he could run a country pretty well. My problems-
A-I'm honestly not sure if he's in this for fame or not. I just don't know.
B-I don't feel that he would know how to deal with a foreign power if he needed too. He said himself he's not good with debates.
C(the big one)-While I feel that his free-spoken ways have definitely led many other candidates to do the same simply to survive, I feel like people are going towards him because hes different, and different works, like Hitler. (I am NOT comparing him to Hitler. Said Austrian was a horrible man who was right on many political issues but in the end slaughtered the Jews.)
88%-Ben Carson
I like this guy. He's a cool dude, and he's insanely smart. But because of his recent entry into politics, I think he needs another term or two to be elected into the presidency. I feel like he knows the issues, just not how to solve them yet, despite his brilliance.
Scott Walker-86%. Don't know much about him
71 with Chris Christie (Number 4 on my list of who I want in the White House), 81 with a few others, and I actuall agree with Clinton on 7%, but only economics.

How did I come up with Rubio if I'm totally against amnesty....? I honestly don't trust the guy. He's a creampuff, and I personally think he's bluffing on a lot of things. Trump is smart, but crude. He hits me as an anti-biden, more or less, and I think he lacks the tact that is needed from national leader. Furthermore, I don't believe for a second he know what to do, should a national crisis occur. Paul is who I agree with the most, but he also lacks tact. Not as bad as trump, but still has a short fuse. I think that Cruz is the best choice we have. He has a plan, he doesn't show weakness, he wont cave. His oratorial skills are remarkable. Winston Churchill was quoted as saying that "tact is the ability to tell someone to go to hell in such a way, that they look forward to the trip." And if anyone has that, it's ted.

I'm voting for Donald Trump 100%(if he becomes an independent, which is very likely)

He will split the vote for the GOP and Trump won't be president. Anything but Trump.

Honesty though, I think I might head for Canada and watch the US implode from there, US politics is just a freakshow now, nothing good can come of this. I think we need to repeal this law that the president must be born in America. Get a really smart German guy in the oval office for 8 years, he'll fix things right up.

sloanstar1000 : Canada has also started their election campaign... and it's one of the longest in Canada's history. So you might as well stay in the state. Though I must say, Canada's politics are a little more interesting now because it's a toss up between 3 parties instead of 2... though the leaders are already set, so there isn't the huge variety of candidates as the is in the states.

Anyway, regarding these elections, I don't side with anyone.

trump is going to split the republican party. The democrats will win again. Bad politics 101.

I always quiz toward marco rubio, but only at 78%.

I'd love to find a Democrat with morals. I'd totally vote for them. Sadly, that doesn't exist.

I believe that our entire pollitical system is so corrupt or just not
representative of the general populous that I can not vote for any
person approved by said system.  Until I see a politician I think has
even the stytest  interest into the human condition of the average
American..... The entire electorate process is a complete farce to me.

Let's see... My top 3 are Rand Paul (90%), Ted Cruz (71%) and... Rick Santorum (69%)?!

It should be no surprise "I stand with Rand". However even if I were able to vote (I am not a citizen) I highly doubt I would vote, eve for him. He is still a politician, i.e. hungry to get more to himself. He sided with hawks way too many times and is not as principled as his father. Plus I doubt he would apply even a quarter of his ideas like ending / scaling down The War on drugs.

tgags123 :
That quiz site is actually pretty neat. Anyways, my results are:

Jeb Bush  Republican
on economic, foreign policy, domestic policy, healthcare, science, and environmental issues.
77%
Ted Cruz  Republican
on immigration, foreign policy, electoral, and science issues.
73%
Donald Trump  Republican
on foreign policy, immigration, and healthcare issues.
73%
Rick Santorum  Republican
on immigration, foreign policy, and healthcare issues.
73%
Mike Huckabee  Republican
on domestic policy, social, immigration, electoral, environmental, and science issues.
73%
Marco Rubio  Republican
on immigration, foreign policy, healthcare, science, and environmental issues.
71%
Ben Carson  Republican
on foreign policy, social, immigration, science, and electoral issues.
68%
Rand Paul  Republican
on immigration, healthcare, science, and electoral issues.
65%
Carly Fiorina  Republican
on foreign policy issues.
62%
Bobby Jindal  Republican
on healthcare and environmental issues.
60%
Lindsey Graham  Republican
on foreign policy, healthcare, and electoral issues.
58%
Chris Christie  Republican
on domestic policy, healthcare, and environmental issues.
58%
Hillary Clinton  Democratic
on science and education issues.
56%
Joe Biden  Democratic
on environmental issues.
54%
Bernie Sanders  Democratic
on healthcare, environmental, science, and education issues.
46%
John Kasich  Republican
on environmental and science issues.
25%
Martin O'Malley  Democratic
on science issues.

I'm actually sort of shocked that the quiz says I'm most sided with Jeb Bush. I am fond of Mr. Trump, and not so fond of Bush, but apparently my ideals land closer to Bush. I guess I don't even know what I want! Very neat quiz though, puts the real questions in front of you and asks you exactly what you think.

Also, I'm kinda surprised that Donald Trump wasn't dead last on my results. Anyways, If Joe Biden decides to run, I'll support him all the way. If not, the I'll vote for the Democrat who wins the primary.

janus : Yeah, I don't understand how that happened and why, but I'm not voting for any of those republicans that were in my top 5. I don't think any of the Republican candidates are qualified to be the leader of the free world.

gamerforlifeforever2 : To be honest it's a bit ironic that you would vote for Bernie Sanders, a socialist, over a Republican to lead the FREE world. Socialism and freedom are polar opposites.

tgags123 : Still that socialist is a better candidate than any of the republicans running for office. I'd preferably vote for either Joe Biden or Hillary Clinton, but if Bernie Sanders is the Democratic nominee, then I'm voting for him.

tgags123 : because having a Republican actually makes a difference? Up to 2008, George W Bush was the biggest (real) spender of all time. He increased the scope of Medicare, boosted (failed and unconstitutional) programs like No Child Left Behind and kept the housing bubble inflated.

And please, stop this notion of "free world." The USSR collapsed over 25 years ago, and what we are left with since 9/11 is not freedom.

See, I think the party system is fundamentally flawed. I agree with things both parties say, but I lean Republican almost exclusively due to the ridiculous gun laws the Democratic party wishes to push. If you think a gun-free zone sign will stop a bad guy, you're wrong.

Now, onto the socialist comment. I agree, honestly. Not even as a Republican, but as an American. We can't allow a socialistic candidate to obtain presidency. It may not be the worst thing for the moment, but it will open flood gates in the future. Sure, we can argue that it doesn't matter who's elected because the only freedom we have is what the media tells us we have, but at the end of the day I really don't think America is ready to just switch government types like that.

I agree with a lot of what Bernie stands for, but I also disagree with a lot of what he stands for. Same goes for everyone, honestly. I really don't know what's going on anymore to be frank. We have 3 main choices.

Donald Trump: The T.V. Show rich guy.
Bernie Sanders: The socialist.
Hillary Clinton: The one who somehow is totally evading jail time for an obvious crime.

Yeah, if you had to pick between one of those three, you'd think it was a "Would you rather" question on Friday night. Yet, here we are. I would choose Donald Trump - simply because he knows economics better than the competitors. We need to fix the economy, and a president who isn't owned by the Koch brothers would be an excellent place to start.

Bernie would be a close second, but his socialist agenda is obvious. Just doesn't fit for me. Clinton is... Well, honestly I don't have much of a reason to dislike Clinton. I just don't trust her.
