I've been trying to play MSX2 games, particularly Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, neither of which will start. MSX2 boots up, but I'm either left at the command line or just a blue screen. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

I am not sure if we have a clear cut solution just yet with many of the MSX/2 games.
