1462 days. 208 weeks and 6 days. 35,088 hours. 2,105,280 minutes. 126,316,800 seconds. Today is an important day for me on Vizzed. Today marks 4 years (okay, 4 years and 1 day. Curse you, 2012!) since I first hit that ‘Register account’ button. Hitting that button changed my life. Hitting that button, made me join Vizzed. Yeah, yeah, that might’ve been a long time ago, but much has changed since then. The world has changed; I have changed. It’s not every day where you find a website like this. The website has a community, a warm community of people ready to be your friends. People will greet you when you first enter the site, and people will say their last goodbyes to you when you want to leave. I’ve seen people come and go - some return, and some don’t. I never want to leave. The gift that David has granted us is something special, and that gift is Vizzed. The Retro Game Room, the Cartoon Room (I know it doesn’t exist anymore), the Video Game Room, and the Board are great things brought to us by David. Writing an essay like this is pretty hard (especially because it’s a serious one). I’ve written many different things on the boards, from stories to questions. But one thing that you can be assured that you’ll keep hearing is the story of how I found this buried treasure, waiting to be found. It was July 29th, 2011. 1462 days ago. I was looking for a game, and one game in particular: Mario Paint. It was the game that my heart most desired at the time, all because I wanted to draw. It’s been a few days now and I couldn’t seem to find the game. But then, I found it. Vizzed. It looks basically the same as it did 4 years ago, but okay. I clicked to play the game, but there was one more step. I had to install the Retro Game Room Plugin. That was all. I went to the forum post, and then downloaded the plugin. I installed the thing, and then I was on my way to having the most incredible times ever. There was Mario, there was Pokemon, there was Zelda, there was EVERYTHING! I couldn’t have been any happier! Then, I was on and off Vizzed for a while. And a long while, at that. I guess it started around 2012. I was barely active on Vizzed, and if I was, I did nothing. I don’t know why, but I guess I just didn’t care anymore. And then came 2013. It was interesting, because I had tripled my post count. But that was only because I had 10 or so posts that year, which was alright for me. 2014 was a special year because it marked my official return. Nobody really cared, but I thought that it was fine. And that’s how I end up to today. With over 430 posts (thank you, Tour de Vizzed!). Many of you don’t care that today marks 4 years since I was a real newb, but I don’t mind. And now, time for my grand (not long) list of summons to the people (and homeslices) who have helped me out on this long but never ending journey: A good user name : I remember you from the first day you got here. Maybe one day you'll grow out of being a noob, and become a great member of Vizzed. zanderlex : Oh, zanderlex. You are someone to remember. We're always there for each other (even though it probably happened once) but we're still cool. Thanks for all that you've done for me! NintendoFanKimmy : Although we no longer talk much, it was still nice to have a friend like you. NOTE - I'm not leaving, just so you know. I'm not sure if anyone was confused by that. Sorry. greenluigi : Hmm...I barely remember you. No, just kidding. You are a great friend and you're real funny. Thanks! IgorBird122 : Hey, are you still up for taking over the world with me? I think we can now. (Translation: You're really awesome and cool to hang out with.) F. Starr : After insulting you horribly (there was a game where we made fun of the user name above us and I said 'F. Starr? More like F. You!'. Thank goodness I didn't get banned for that.), it's good to see that we're friends. mario102 : You're really awesome. I could not have asked for a better friend. It's almost like we know each other. Singelli : Oh, Singelli! Ah! You've helped me so much in this 4 year journey - it's too hard to explain. We've been good friends, and I hope you're doing well. Thanks for everything that you have done. Totts : You ask some pretty interesting questions. Thank you, for making my mind do something! Davideo7 : What would we do without you? You are someone with a great heart, because trust me, I would use my own money to create something like this. And although I don't have money to donate to you, I just want to give you a thank you from the bottom of my heart. All the people that I've mentioned would not be here without you. So, thank you. Thank you for giving the gifts of the Retro Game Room and Video Game Room. You deserve more thank you that what you have. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! I hope that you are remembered for years after you're no longer with us because of what you have put blood and sweat into. You're amazing. So, 4 years is nothing! Just wait until I get to 5 years! But, seriously, everyone. Thank you. You've meant so much to me. And tomorrow will be a regular day. And the next one. But this day is a special one. Oh, and I'm NOT leaving! Chris, here. See you later! 1462 days. 208 weeks and 6 days. 35,088 hours. 2,105,280 minutes. 126,316,800 seconds. Today is an important day for me on Vizzed. Today marks 4 years (okay, 4 years and 1 day.
