This game is a gem. A true gem. Being a launch title for the N64, you wouldn't expect it to be such an amazing game seeing as the software was new. It's one of the best looking N64 games and sounds pretty good too. It has a memorable soundtrack that will stick with you for a long while and has a nostalgic feel even for people who don't have any nostalgia for this game. It's pretty fun for all ages and takes a while to complete as well, making it a good time killer and just an overall nice game to finish. It's not very hard, but it makes up for it's difficulty with the amount of content in the game. Puzzles, enemies, vibrant and colorful worlds to explore. It's amazing! The story is the average "oh the princess is gone" shebang, but no one really plays Mario for the story (I hope, there's not much there, haha). I would have to give this game a close to 10 but not quite 9.8 out of 10. It would get the full on 10 if it was a bit harder and had a little more to the story like the Mario and Luigi series. But can you really expect a good story out of a 90's platformer? Eh, I guess not. Anyways, that's all for this review, see you in one of my other reviews if you happen to come across one!

In fact, many users (including myself) split the game up in sections and do every aspect of the game apart, but you can also do sections that although they don't describe if you're doing story or graphics for example still tell more about the game. So while you can do it the way green and awesome told you, the way you did it now is perfectly fine Good job with your review by the way!

I totally agree with you on most points. The story is, obviously, pretty bland, which seems to be something that a lot of reviewers skirt around. The only thing I'm surprised you didn't mention was the wonky camera. Maybe I have a bigger issue with it than most, but it's a big negative for me. Despite these issues, it's a solid overall game. How do you feel about the camera? Did it ever give you serious issues?
