Having that link on all of the pages sounds like a good idea, especially if its a pin. Would the link itself be a pin or would the pink show the link as well as a few of the most recent posts?

Just letting everyone know that I've put up the default pins. You can remove and alter the default pins if you want by press unpin or the arrows. You can also add pins to the hud by clicking the 'Pin' link on various content boxes. FYI, you need a monitor which is at least 1366 pixels wide to see the user hud.

Woah the new site is freaking me out!

No, it's not bad, just... wow. (⊙﹏⊙) This is a lot to take in, there's the right of the screen showing things more organized, there's still plenty of room in the main part of the page, I don't need to scroll sideways or anything, it's like a well made mmorpg base.

And yes, all I know is game sense.

If I had to log on the site and see that, it'd be just like months before I joined.

Before I joined, when I came across the site, it was INCREDIBLY confusing - which was why I thought the RGR Plugin was a virus. Although many months later, I finally did try out and here I am now. So yeah.

The new side bars are certainly interesting, but I am interested what the forum layout will look like after this change.
I certainly hope it wouldn't be a reddit nested style. >.<

TheJmsGamer : It'd be a pain to support 2 site designs. For example, when I work on current features or add future features, I'd have to make the edits to both site designs and I'd basically have to have 2 files for every page of the site, 1 using the old design and 1 using the new design.


Vanelan : I'm definitely not switching to that style of forum. The look of the posts probably wont change too much.

I like the new style. I'll have to get used to watch the whole screen, since right now everything is displayed in the center. Can't wait for that to become a reality, specially for the trending on site thing.

But for real, I'm not sure about this. Is this the main site page, or the index page? If it's the main site page, then awesome, even though it's a little bit smashed together. If it's the index page, then no thanks. 

EDIT: Whoa, awesome how if you scroll over a person's name it shows their info. That's really cool!!!

I'm a little behind but I'll try and get this new site live on the index. I'll probably make the announcement and thread about it tomorrow though.

Popeye116 : Yeah I'm not sure why that sad face is there lol. This will be the layout and design of the entire site once I'm done.

Davideo7 : Don't worry, we still have patience for the new design. And besides if you rush things, there is a chance you make errors in your coding and that could cause glitches (a thing we won't want to see again).

Also that ''trending on the site'' thing is fun but I noticed this:

Ask trusted members Anything! by geeogree'' - And that's a thread meant for the Trusted and up.

Does for example a normal member see the thread titles of threads in forums they don't have access to? If so, I think you need to change it. Or did you make it in a way that Vizzed Elites/Trusted members have those private threads listed there and the normal members not?

Another thing, is there a possibility that you can move these pin boxes on the right to the left side of the page? I don't want to have my right side filled with all the boxes.

I think we're going to get part of that same storm today and it looks pretty bad so there really wasn't anything you could do because of that.

TornadoMudkip : I tested the trending on the site section as a guest and as a normal user, and I still saw the thread "ask trusted members anything" so that is a problem that should be fixed. 

And also, is there anyway that you could lower what screen resolution I need to view the HUD? That seems a little high, and I can't view it  

I'm having troubles getting the ads to load after the page loads. On the current vizzed pages, if an ad takes a while to load, the rest of the site can't load until after the ad has loaded. I'm trying to fix this problem by making the ad one of the last things to load on the page. This will help make navigation on the site appear seamless and it'll prevent incidents when an ad causes the rest of the page to not load.

I'm currently aiming to set that as the index page on Monday.


TornadoMudkip : Good catch. Fixed. It no longer shows threads from forums that the user doesn't have access to. Also, while I was at it, I made it so that it also displays the forum the threads are in.


zanderlex : Yeah it took away about 2 hours worth of my development time. Plus, this ad issue I wasn't expecting


Barathemos : The only way I can think of is in Firefox you can press CTRL+- to make the page appear smaller which should let you see it. Only 16% of internet users have a screen resolution too small to see the HUD. If your screen isn't wide enough, then there's just not enough room to show the HUD but I can try and come up with a solution at some point.

I used FireFox to be able to see the Hud, but the text on my screen is very small. It's an eyesore :/.

Just thought I'd test that and tell you the results.

ZeroTails : I'll try and find a way eventually to allow users to view the HUD who have a small screen resolution.

I've got the ad fixed and loading after the page loads which is great. However, I'm going to be busy for the rest of the day so I probably wont get to making the page live until later tonight or tomorrow (or possibly Monday like I had mentioned a few posts ago).
