Should I reserve Windows 10 on my computer?

Why should I do that?

Why do I need to reserve?

Is it a scam?

A trap?

what is the advantages and the disadvantages?

Have you done it?

Should I do it?

If you want to use Windows 10, then you should reserve it. You could just wait until after it comes out and then wait to get it but that would be so much waiting. Since it hasn't come out there can't really be any advantages or disadvantages. and since it's microsoft I doubt it can be a scam

Honestly speaking no one will be able to answer your questions properly until it's released... That's the issue with pre ordering or reserving things.. People assume what they will get will be amazing and they get caught up with the hype train behind a product.. But most products launches are pretty bad these days, especially with all the competition around so companies want to release stuff as quickly as possible.

Totts : from what I have heard about windows 10 apparently it can slow down your computer I would not recommend that anyone install it unless you know for sure that it won,t cause any damage to your computer.they tried to install it on mine but told me that I don,t have enough ram. I am always leery about installing any free hardware because it could end up either freezing or damaging your system.

no 8120 : Hardware is made up of the physical components in your computer. What you download or run on the machine is software. And there's no need to be *leery* about downloading Windows 10, since it's directly from Microsoft. And just out of curiosity, how much RAM do you have?

As for the original question, yes. Redeem it since it's only free to owners of Windows 7 and Windows 8 for the first year. You can download and never even install it, but at least you'll have it now. Then if you end up deciding that you do want to upgrade you won't have to shell out for it.

Get it. I have this computer that was the slowest thing on the planet, right next to a turtle going half speed. Then, what you can do is remove the previous versions of Windows that you have. Anyways, back to that computer. Windows 10 makes this thing run fast. That, and the fact that older versions of Windows were still lingering on the computer.

I downloaded it onto my laptop and I'm liking it so far. I have Window 8 though and I hated that so upgrading couldn't make my experience much worse than it already was.

I think it's a fairly good blend of what I liked about 7 and 8.

I still want to take time to shut off anything I don't want/need but that's not too urgent.

That is one of my beefs with Windows though. Here are 100 programs you might want but most of them suck so you'll likely never use them unless you know nothing about computers.
