 My friend tried to host a netplay server so she can play command and conquer with me but we don't really know how netplay works. Can someone kindly help us out?

Isses we received: it kept timing out, she spent over 300 Viz points trying to figure out how it works. She tried both the 1964 and Mupen64Plus options in creating a server.

Sadly, we didn't get to play. However it works well during solo mode

Netplay on N64 is unstable at best.
You might have better luck with MAMEHub than 1964, but I imagine you will suffer the same desync/timeout errors.
