So I had a thought in my mind that I got quite a few guilty pleasure games that I play often and seeing this, I gotta ask you all a question on what games are guilty pleasures that you pay often or more than you think you should? There are quite a few that possibly I could think up of now, though maybe you all could lead me to some very interesting games I might take interest in myself. Who knows?

Not currently, but I played quite a bit of The Sims for a solid month. You always think it's gonna be so much more fun that it actually is. 

Light Knight : I'm not going to lie, I religiously play Sims 2 from time to time. It's unhealthy I know but meh. I've had my time with the original and Sims 3, Sims 4 however I don't plan on playing to be fair. I want to try to, but I don't have the time or money for it.

My most recent guilty pleasure, without a doubt, is Monster Monpiece. Heavy emphasis on anime fanservice, but the gameplay is actually solid and the card collecting aspect is pretty cool. Having this game as a Vita exclusive is a shame, more people need to experience it.

I find Destiny to be a pretty fun experience when I play it. 

Yes, the makers are rather greedy and irresponsible, but it's still an entertaining game.

I'd have to say Sid Meier's Sim Golf would be my Guilty pleasure. You're building a golf course but at the same time, it feels like a Sims game. It's a unique game that I still enjoy from time to time.

I think a guilty pleasure game for a lot of people would be the FNAF games and for me, it's Agar.io. I only just heard of this game a week ago, and its so simple and stupid but I have now played it for at least 30 hours maybe even more.

The Sims and Goat Simulator are my guilty games.

MMOs more specifically Runescape that game has been my biggest on and off guilty pleasure through the years since it's basically a grindfest. I always say I'm quitting the game but sooner or later I end up returning even if it may not be that long anyways, it's the one MMO I just seem to not be able to quit entirely, though really I could more or less count most MMOs out there to be guilty pleasures.

Another game is the Pokemon man series games, I'm not saying the Pokemon games are bad, in their own right they definietly aren't and I still enjoy them but each game is still largely the same thing, a new region with 8 gym badges the elite four and it's usually pretty easy. With the generation 5 games I thought that was about to change slightly with it being more story involved but then came the gen 6 games (more specifically X and Y) which we're probably the most bland to date in my opinion. Still playing buying and playing each new installment it is kind of becoming a guilty pleasure.

And then of course there's sport games, mostly soccer games like Fifa and PES but also hockey games and even some other games I've found in the rgr, they are basically a guilty pleasure to me as well.

Lastly there's those "free to play" mobile games. No I'm not saying all free to play mobile games are bad (just most), I'm talking about those that oversaturate the market and say their free to play multiplayer games but are really just pay to win games. I've played many of them but probably the one I played the most and even ended up spending money at once was Heroes Charge... Not a mistake I'm likely to do again.

Sim City 2000 would be my guilty pleasure. Right around the Holidays last year it was released for free for a limited time. After years of struggling to grow the city I was FINALLY able to grow the city over 1M people. Too bad I switched computer and could not download another copy on my new computer .

My guilty pleasures are Smash Bros Brawl, Goat Simulator, and Sonic and the Dark Knight. Bad (and in some cases nearly nonexistent) controls, plot, and other things aside. I couldn't help myself to having fun with them. Like, I shouldn't have had so much fun with them; but I did!

Le Fantabulous Game would be there too, but that was kind of designed to be a guilty pleasure also. lol

Oh I thought of another one.

Myst... and the rest of the Myst series. Oh no... I want to play Myst again... or maybe just Myst IV: Revelations, it was the most modern one (minus that terrible CG one).

When I think of a guilty pleasure game, I usually think of ones that I enjoy but are actually poorly done. Right now, two come to mind: Hot Wheels: Velocity X (PC & PS2) and Jupiter Strike (PSX). Hot Wheels VX is a racing game that leaves a lot to be desired when compared to others, but playing the PC version when I was 7 or 8 blew me away because I hadn't really played a legit racing game before. That childhood bias stuck with me and I still like giving it a spin from time to time, only to get bored due to the limited replay value after beating the adventure mode.

Jupiter Strike is rail space shooter and a very early Playstation title from 1995 that I think got a PC port. The graphics are quite excellent for such an early PSX game and I find the music to have a very atmospheric feel. However, the gameplay is clunky, difficult, and extremely unforgiving. There is no save feature or password system, not even any cheat codes to my knowledge. I totally get into it until the rage quit.

When I think of guilty pleasures when it comes to games, doing stuff within a particular game that would be a bad idea in real life but comes off as funny within the game counts.  So I can't help but lean on the GBC and N64 versions of Mario Tennis when you can hit your opponent in the face with the ball to effectively end a rally.  It's hard to do that intentionally, though.

With regard to the question, however, Brunswick Pro Bowling on iOS (I have an iPod Touch) has been eating some time up recently for me.  Not great at it yet, but can't seem to settle in for the night and not bowl a game or two.

I haven't played any guilty pleasure games so far, but one of my friends introduced me to The Sims when I was hanging out with him at his house. I watched him play it for a little bit and then he showed me how to play it. But I wasn't interested so we decided to find a different game XD

zanderlex : Oh my goodness, yes.. The FNAF series sucked me in !! I just hate trying to explain to people that I like the games for their lore mainly and the character (animatronics) designs..

I have a lot of different games that I like to play that not everyone else would want to play but I'm not sure I would call them "guilty pleasures"

I guess the only thing I would place in that regard would be the crazy amount of Hours I spent playing WoW for the 4 years I played it from the Early days through the WotLK expansion.

Pinball FX2 is probably my biggest guilty pleasure. I know it's not exactly something to be embarrassed about, but my friends give me a lot of flak for it. "Why don't you just go out and play real pinball?" For one, the closest arcade is about an hour away, and secondly, some of the tables are downright awesome.
