So as most may know i grew up in the 90's. As such i heavily enjoyed Nickelodeon and other channels in the 90's. Alot of my favirote shows were on Nick, Cartoon Network and Toon Disney. There were more things that i enjoyed than i didn't like. So i made this thread to share with all of you my childhood T.V memories as well as hear your own! So lets start this off with my favirote shows from all 3 channels!

Nick: Are You Afraid Of The Dark, Legends Of The Hidden Temple, All Nicktoons exept for Ren&Stimpy and Rocko's Modern Life, All Double Dares, Wild and Crazy Kids, What Would You Do? , Global Guts, and last but not least of all...Wenierville!

CN: Ed, Edd and Eddy, Dexters Lab, Samurai Jack, Johnny Bravo, Mike, Lu and Og, Courage The Cowardly Dog, Codename: Kid's Next Door, and a few others that i can't think of at the moment.

Toon Disney: EVERYTHING!

I don't remember off the top of my head the stuff on cartoon network that I watched in the 80's and 90's

But some of the Cartoons/TV shows that were my favorites in the late 80's early 90's are as follows:

Ren & Stimpy

Roccos Modern Life

Count Duckula

Double Dare(all of them)

Legends of the Hidden Temple

You can't do that on Television

DuckTales

Chip n' Dales Rescue Rangers

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

The Real Ghostbusters cartoon

Bettlejuice Cartoon

Inspector Gadget

Garfield and Friends

There are a ton more but these are the ones I can remember most from that time.

I didn't watch cartoons much in the 90s.  I remember PBS Kids, Pokemon and those Disney shows like Doug and Recess but aside from Pokemon, I wasn't into much.  Video games and books were my thing.  It was about 2000-2001 that I started watching cartoons religiously.  So most of what I remember was from the 2000s.

I'm more of a 2000's kid than anything else (As I was born in '97) and I remember watching a lot of those shows from Cartoon Network that you did. Although I watched a lot of them on different channels because I'm from Canada and I didn't have any fancy cable TV back then so I didn't have Cartoon Network. I had channels like YTV and stuff that showed cartoon like that. I also watched a lot of Teletoon. I also did get Fox Kids though and they had some good stuff. Is that channel also from the USA? I'm not sure about that one, can someone tell me?

Some other shows I remember watching:
- Teen Titans
- Spongebob
- Fairly Odd Parents
- Sonic X
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (The 2000's one, not the old one)
- Justice League

And that's all the ones that I can think of the I primarily watched that weren't already listed.

Brigand : You wouldn't think so, no, but it was certainly marketed as such when it came out in the 90's and I know I watched it when I was a young lad.

I was born in 1985, so I watched pretty much most of those shows mentioned. Good T.V.!

To me, that was the Golden Age of anime. Sailor Moon, Pokemon, Digimon, Outlaw Star, Thundercats, Voltron, Robotech, Gundam (various series), Ronin Warriors, Cowboy Bebop, Dragon Ball (And Z), Tenchi (Various), and so many more. Some of those might be in the 2000's... Hm.

Loved Rocko's Modern Life, Rugrats, Ahh! Real Monsters, Samurai Jack, Mummies Alive!, Freakazoid! (Who else watched that? So good!) The Tick, Space Ghost,  and, like, SO many others.

Didn't 2000s kids watched some of the same stuff that 90s kids watched? I really don't know why did you even mention shows like Codename: Kids Next Door, when it's actually a show from the 2000s.

Good to see so many fans of 90's Kid's TV here! To answer the last question:

I was unsure of the release date of Codename: KND. That's why I just went ahead and threw the name out there.

Now here is a question for all of you: How many of you got to watch the glorious channel that was Nick G&S? I ask this because ALOT of the game shows were shown on that channel after Nick took them off their main channel.

I remember watching Dragon Ball and DragonBall Z on a Japanese Channel before it came out in English. I was able to understand a few words hear and there but I did notice that Japanese Anime was aimed towards children in Japan that in America, parents would call a major riot like the use of kuso which can mean damn or the s-word but you see the animated children like Conan (even though it's a teen in a kid body) and Naruto using that word. Same with chikuso. Then when you watch Dragon Ball Z in English, you hear them say "Shoot" which means they were meant to be swear words in the original Japanese show.

Television is how I learned a lot of my English (the most of the rest was with video games). On weekends I enjoyed watching ABC with all their retro comics like Bugs Bunny (Rabbit of Seville, anyone?) and more modern ones like Ghostbusters. During the week, Captain N's adventures (especially the Marios) and the Disney Afternoons were my TV highlights of the day.

French television also had quite a selection in Quebec. Canal Famille had some of the best comics around like Petit Castor, Biniki and a host of very nice educational shows. There were also many dubbed comics like Inspector Gadget and Maya the Bee. Radio Canada (the French CBC) and Radio-Québec (for the province) also had quite a few good comics, many of which were "adaptations" from famous stories like the Three Musketeers, Anne of the Green Gables and Alice in Wonderland. There was also Les Mystérieuses cités d'or, a Japan-inspired comic that "retells" the story of the Conquistadors. Finally, during each Holiday season RQ (Télé-Québec now) replays some of the best feature-length from Asterix, Tintin and Lucky Luke.

I absolutely loved Recess, Chip & Dale's Rescue Rangers, Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, and Pokemon when I was a kid. Those were good times. Those shows are way better than the stuff that's on today. Man I'm sounding old right now... =(

Despite being born during the very end of the 90s I did watch some 90s show growing up. Though I didn't get the chance very often because to put it simply my family couldn't afford to pay for any of the extra channels. So when I watched them it was usually either when visiting a friend or during the weekend mornings when they used to air some of the shows from those channels on other networks.

That said when I did I remember mostly thinking it was awesome, there really was a lot of good shows back then that I watched more of later like Ducktales and Gargoyles which were some of my favorites, I mostly liked Disney Channel and Cartoon Network more than I did the Nickelodeon shows.

Much better than the things they have today. Which mostly seem to sitcoms targeted towards kid that aren't really funny now and I don't think I'd really enjoy them back then either. It's almost kind of sad how Disney Channel especially (though other networks too) has fallen.

Now for the past few months I have herd whispers of a Ducktales return. I hope this is true because I would love to relive those memories of a Toon Disney/Disney time almost forgotten.

Oh, man. I forgot to mention stuff like Kenan and Kel, All That, and the Amanda Show. I watched just about every episode. I recently watched some clips on Youtube from All That, and I honestly believe that most of those skits are funnier than, like, 70% of SNL. I do like SNL (Sometimes), and they have some great cast members, but most skits aren't too great.

Seriously though. Check out some of those old clips, they still make me laugh. XD

I was born in 85 so I was smack dab in the middle of the animation golden age as far as I am concerned. Bugs Bunny and the gang on ABC Saturday mornings. Here's a list of shows I watched as a kid:

Looney Tunes <- RIP Mel Blanc
Tiny Toon Adventures
Animaniacs
Pinky and the Brain <- one of the best theme songs of the 90's
Tail Spin
Ducktales
Heathcliff
Garfield
Woody the Woodpecker
Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers
Gargoyles
TMNT <- the first one
Ghostbusters
Transformers <- first one
Beast Wars <- "Animal version of Transformers"
GI Joe <- first one that the movies pay homage to
Voltron
Conan the Barbarian
He-Man
Space Ghost
Dexter's Lab
Johnny Bravo
Reboot
PPG <- eh I may be a guy but the show was good
Cow and Chicken
Ed Edd and Eddy
Rugrats
Doug
Catdog
Hey Arnold
Angry Beavers
Courage the Cowardly dog <- underrated show
Rocket Power
Alvin and the Chipmunks <- ending song was always good
Code Lyoko(2004-2007)
Spider Man
X-Men(10am Saturday mornings during the 1990's... yeah good times... even the newer versions in the 2000's weren't bad)
Teen Titans(2003-2006)
Star Wars Clone Wars(08-13? forget when it ended)
Star Wars Rebels(currently ongoing with Season 2 slated for this Fall)

Long list isn't it? I could probably add more but I think that's enough....

The one cartoon I remember as a kid from the 90"s is The Super Mario Super Show. The reason I remember that show is cause as a kid I was big into anything Nintendo related at the time and thought is was cool bringing the Mario characters to life. Another show I remember is Ren & Stimpy. That show also stands out to me cause of all the crude humor that was on the show.  As a kid I wasn't thinking of how Nick would allow suck a show on their network. I was more into their crude semi adult humor. And as a kid your into jokes and humor like that.
