This month's High Score competition is for 'Battletoads' for the Nintendo NES. You can play it here:

The point of this competition is to get as high of a score as you can.


VIDEO REQUIRED: You must must use the RGR Plugin's built in video recording to record the gameplay and then upload that video to the Vizzed YouTube account.

RULES: You MUST play the game using the RGR Plugin in 'Timetrial Mode' and take a screenshot of your top score from that by pressing F6. To play in 'Timetrial Mode', scroll down the page where the highscores would appear, you'll see a link that says 'Click Here to Compete for Highscore', click that. Once you've taken your screenshot, click the link near that one that says 'Click Here to Submit your Score' to submit your score.

You cannot unfairly get points or lives or use a glitch of any sort. If you find something that gives out unlimited points or lives, it will not count.


Prizes:
1st = 25,000 Viz
2nd = 10,000 Viz
3rd = 5,000 Viz

Definitely going to compete in this one. I don't know many people who can beat this without save states, so that might be an advantage for me.


edit- maxed the score out. This will end up being who can max the score out faster. However, in this game, you get the max score just by playing normally

theweapon2 : You haven't seen it because I haven't uploaded it yet. I typically wait to either the last day or really close. I have had times in the past where I was miles ahead of people in score or time (for speedruns), I post my video, and immediately afterward, I get 2-3 people beating my score or time by using the method I used to beat them first. I hate when people copy what I do on my video upload and beat me using my own strategy/method/etc. So I wait to submit so there is virtually no time to watch my video, do another run, and upload a video.

You will see that I actually reached the max score in my video LONG before my screenshot. I did not notice that I reached the max score and kept playing. It hurt my time on my submission, but hopefully I won't have to worry with these last few hours of the competition.
