Davideo7 : Do I count as banned? Due to fact I have been temp banned twice in order to demote me from Local Mod.
I would like to apply for review writer again. I am capable of writing fair and in depth reviews. I have studied music theory and creative writing so I can give somewhat educated opinions on several topics rather easily. I know to avoid making reviews for a game that already has one. And I am fully capable of writing several reviews in a single day. Will I? No. There is no need as the job does not require that much. But I can easily manage 2-4 a month. I wouldn't recommend judging my based on previous reviews, their overly biased and rather sloppy, however you are free to see them yourself if you want to. I would like to apply for review writer again. I am capable of writing fair and in depth reviews. I might as well apply for the role of Review Writer. I can quite easily meet the demands needed for this and I have no problem with writing reviews as well. Whether they be modern PC games or old snes games... Plus I enjoy writing them as well which I feel is important to the role I think that the problem with a lot of reviews here is that they seem to be written for the sake of existence and using generic terms that could summarise any game.. They rarely give examples of what they liked specifically and what could have been improved.. I feel that my reviews would have this insight These are the only "game" reviews I've done so far.. I've done ones for different areas of entertainment as well but they wouldn't be suitable in this application. The game reviews below are more akin to First Impressions.. Davideo7: I am applying for the Tech Support position. I will not apply again. Tech Support requires users to know and understand issues relating to the RGR. This position also requires it's staff to be willing to work through these problems, not pretend to help or get half the answer. As an ex-staff, Walkthrough Staff, I went above my normal duties to assist many users of the Staff Inbox and I was successful even in fields I didn't know much about. I also noticed a lack of Staff-Care. All credit to those who also went above and beyond their work to aid the many player problems! For this reason, I want to make a difference here. Personally, I don't understand why "Trusted" is required; which indicates popularity is used to determine whether or not a user qualifies for these positions. No, I'm not popular, in fact, I hate a lot of people. Even if by lacking "Trusted" I'm not popular, I am still trustworthy and believe to have proven these differences. On to why I should have been promoted to staff in the last wave: Plugin Not Found Many players tend to have issues with their plugin and it generally states "Plugin Not Found". Many of these issues can usually be fixed by following the help found here. When these steps fail, I will direct players to their browser's plugin. Sometimes the Vizzed RGR Plugin may be disabled, even if involuntarily deactivated. Google Chrome users must also enable NPAPI as instructed on this thread. Usually a restart will get the plugin working again. Open Plugin Data Folder I recommend every member keep the RGR Plugin Downloaded to their Downloads Folder because the Open Plugin Data Folder requires the download in the downloads folder. Users can run a PC search for the "Open Plugin Data Folder" and instructed to find certain files and Windows 8 For some users, probably those with AMD graphics like mine, there's an issue with DirectX's DirectDraw capabilities. This prevents some Windows 8 users from performing specific tasks with their computers including Full-Screen for RGR Consoles. It's entirely unavoidable unless players get a better graphics card, download an off-line emulator + play the game via off-line emulator or download Virtual Machine where users can run a copy of Windows 7, Vista or XP and full-screen the emulator. Virtual Machine effectively consumes a great amount of the PC's resources. Virtual Machine on a Mac for Windows 7, Vista, XP or Windows 8 should allow users to play games with the Vizzed RGR plugin. Also note: Microsoft announced that all Windows 7, Windows 8 and 8.1 users will get free upgrades to the new Windows 10 that releases later this year, but only if they upgrade within the first year. Windows 10 may present a list of new issues to learn and overcome. Microsoft also announced Windows 10 is the LAST Windows. What this means is yet to be determined. Interested? Here Windows 7 Not nearly as experienced with Windows 7 related issues but I haven't had to deal with anything either. I do have a Windows 7 PC and everything listed here, to this point has always worked for me. Windows Vista Zero experience. Windows XP Very familiar with this operating system as well. Everything listed in this thread up to this point has worked for all issues I've encountered within Windows XP. Game Related Issues Some games have their own issues. Super Mario RPG, for example, has a few of it's own issues. To overcome most of this game's issues you can change to PAL. This reduces the frame rate from 60 frames per second to 50 frames per a second and prevents many freezing issues this game encounters. It does not fix all of the issues because I believe these issues might be related to the RGR plugin itself but has not been fixed yet. Games with issues should eventually have an option to report these problems to get them fixed. Browser Related Issues Many browser related issues can be eliminated by disabling extensions or plugins that are entirely unnecessary. Settings can be explored to discover why a browser might restart every so often. Slowness can be cured by deleting history and performing PC maintenance. I am very familiar with Google Chrome and Firefox. Logitech Gamepad I own a Logitech Gamepad and I am familiar with setting this up with my PC. I can share this knowledge with members who have problems setting their game pads to work with Vizzed's many games. My Logitech Gamepad also came with a Logitech Profiler allowing me to change additional control features. This is a great resource for users with Gamepad issues. TeamViewer As someone who likes to help people, understanding a thorough explanation can be above and beyond the troubled user. TeamViewer allows me to remotely access the troubled user's PC and edit their settings for them if it's too difficult to understand or figure out. It's secure, easy to use and you can run it one time without downloading it. It's also free to use. CCleaner No matter what issues arise I always recommend people download and install CCleaner Free. It cleans history, fixes bad registry errors, allows you to quickly uninstall programs, enable/disable startup programs and several other features. Although it doesn't directly help users, it does speed up the PC. Freemake/Mednafen Pretty familiar with Mednafen and I've used Freemake sparingly. They're not overly difficult to learn but it shouldn't be too difficult to find solutions to player problems with either of these. Vizzed Items I currently have access to every console from the Item Shop, the game accelerator (Which is super useful for downloading LARGE games, especially Disc games), the Beta Test Ticket and the PSX. As of recently, with practice, my reviews have been reaching well over the 2000 word mark and higher. While I do include my own experiences and opinions in my reviews, I generally disregard them as much as possible in lieu of a general standpoint- I always understand that while I may not enjoy a game, other people could find it amazing and I try my best to look for every possible selling point a game might legitimately have without ignoring it's problems as well. And as a Silver Status streamer I always have a reason to keep returning to the site to fill out these reviews- as I'll always be playing something from the Vizzed Catalog and will have something to write about as long as I keep exploring titles I haven't previously played as well as the titles I have already done when I was younger (like Metal Gear Solid and Syphon Filter.) And, of course, I have no issues playing through the games that not everyone plays. I'm sure everyone and their mother has a review ready or planned for Final Fantasy VII or Banjo-Kazooie. It's one of the reasons I went ahead and tackled Syphon Filter, since I've never heard ANYONE talk about that game outside of this site and even then it was after I made said review. I may not have Trusted Status, but it isn't listed as a prerequisite on the 2nd Wave Application, nor was it in the first wave... So... Here's hoping! I'd love to be able to contribute to this site with a higher rank! Out of the whole list that I read this is only job can do that I won't do really badly on. I have a mental handicap called ausburgers syndrome it's form of autism if you haven't heard about it before. It's because of this handicap that makes it hard to find a job in my local area in Edmonton. I am very flexible with my working hours afternoons are best for me. Hello I'm trying to apply for the Game Tester position. I'm still considered a newbie on this site but I would love to help out and test some games. I am 20 years old and I started to build my own computer OS at the age of 12. It was just Linux based and then I added support for Windows programs around the age of 15. I have finished the OS but due to some problems on my old desktop I no longer have any use for it. Any way back to the subject... Games are my life. I suppose I could volunteer as a Game Tester seeing as I have tested over 200 Arcade games already when I was taking screenshots (my game comment log on ones that I have found issues with and PMs to Singelli can attest to that,) but I guess that I just do not post enough to be considered a "Trusted Member."

I'm applying for REVIEW WRITER again. Like I mentioned in my previous application post, I meet the requirements and could keep up with the amount of reviews asked. Reasons for Request: 1. I am very good a writing reviews at least I think I am anyway the reason I say such a thing is because on almost all of my reviews I write at least 1000 words if not more unless something has prevented me from writing that much.
2. I am very trustworthy I may break a rule once in a while but that is only because I either did not know the rule existed or made a mistake believe me I did read the rules in the help center. 3. I want to see this site become not just a place to play old games but a place to get information on games and see whether they are worth playing or not. I want to take matters into my own hands and show readers whether the game is worth playing or not. I want to inform people because I have been a victim of getting told it is a good game and Ended up buying a bad game and buying a game I think is bad but have enough money so do it anyway and find out that it was worth every cent. 4. This gives me a reason to play Video Games a mission if you will trying to tell people if this is a game that is a gem or not. The reason why I say this is because I don't play much games on here do you want to know why? I wonder what I am doing sitting here playing a game that I either already played or is a game I don't really care for. It makes me feel.......like I don't have a purpose being here and I want to change that.......I want to change that quite a bit. Why should you pick me? 1. I am usually always on and if I am not it is for a specific reason because let me be honest I love this site that I could not bear to not visit it once a day because it is a place filled with gamers like me I feel accepted here.
2. I will get better I have not really found my unique trait as a review writer yet that is kind of troublesome in a way for me and holds me back a bit. But perhaps I will learn my unique writing trait and considering how good I already do without it when I learn what it is it is going to be very nice. 3. I go into every game with a open mind always giving it a fair chance because come on reviews need to be fair in my eyes. I will give a game credit where it is due as well as tell the faults that hold it back so that readers of my reviews can watch for those faults. Thanks for the second chance. I am not going to go the lazy route and copy & paste my app, but I am going to keep it very similar since I thought my first one was pretty decent.
I would like to apply for a tech support position. I was previously a staff member for six months or so (I think? Not really sure to be honest lol). I was a content adder for a while and then added Sony System Manager to my palette as well. With school ending and the summer on it's way I will have a lot more free time so I can put that time towards Vizzed. I know I haven't been as active recently as I have been in the past, but that is just because Vizzed has become kind of dry for me. I need something to spice it up a little, and a staff position might be just the thing. Throughout my time on Vizzed I have accumulated 19,418.7 CP and 21 trust points, as well as over 6000 posts and a post rating over 600. I hosted the February 2014 CP VCS and I think I did a decent job despite all the controversy that occurred with people abusing the system. I have never been banned and I like to believe that most people think of me in a positive way, though I can't be sure if that is true. While I was a staff member the first time around I spent a lot of time going through the RGR Staff inbox and responding to PMs and helping people out. I know a lot about the RGR as I have spent a lot of time playing games and adding content in the past. If someone has a question, I will likely know the answer. I like to think that I am pretty tech savvy. I know basic HTML, I understand how computers function, etc. The other day my step brother informed me that he laptop wasn't working and I fixed it for him. (He had about 30 viruses that I removed lol). I also "fix" my grandma's computer all the time, although most of the time it isn't really broken, she just doesn't know how to do something lol. I know this doesn't directly relate to the RGR, but it shows that I know about computers in general and am good basic troubleshooting, so even if there is a problem that I don't know how to fix I might be able to use this knowledge to figure it out. If you don't have any more spots available for tech support I would also be interested in being a video adder. My CP page says I have only submitted 14 videos, but I know that is not true. I have submitted 30 videos for NHL 15 alone, and I know that I have uploaded quite a few videos for other games. I love to edit videos and I like to think that I am pretty good at it, so maybe I could put more into the videos than just straight gameplay if you want. I do have a YouTube channel with 70+ videos and 150+ subscribers called tgags123HD, feel free to check it out. Thank you for reading and for considering me!
