I like it a lot more when its dubbed, I just don't really like hearing a shoe in a different lanhaugage at all. Saves me the trouble right away .

It really depends on the anime that I am watching. When it comes to anime like Naruto or Pokemon I like the subbed version better but with anime like Hetalia i like the dubbed version better because of slight dialog changes (like when america called Canada's mom (or was it grandma) hot.) and when it comes to anime like Bleach or Attack On Titan it doesn't really matter to me if it is subbed or dubbed.

I prefer dubbed, but when the voices are annoying I just switch to subbed.

I always prefer subbed because I am a purist and want to learn new Japanese words.  I am also impatient for dubs.  The subtitles keep me on task on the show, rather than what I'm doing on my phone.  I get frustrated when the subs are out-of sync with the picture and there's no (decent) dub available.

Generally I prefer dubbed, I love recognizing voice actors, however some dubs are really bad...

This is going to sound weird, but my most favorite thing to do is watched the dubbed version, and turn on the Japanese subtitles, that way I see if I miss something. Like, sometimes the jokes in English sound awkward, then I read the subtitles and find out it's some Japanese joke using kanji characters or something. It's just really cool to see both versions at the same time. My friends can't focus on both at the same time, so it drives them crazy. So many jokes in Slayers make much more sense when you watch the Japanese subtitles.

However, I do love them both, and if I don't own a physical copy of the anime, so I can't turn English dub with Japanese translated subs, I'll just watch both subbed and dubbed separately, provided the anime is awesome enough for me to do... That.

I like both because different days are full of different emotions.
Dubbed anime is good because its easier to watch without having to read subtitles and it doesn't cover up part of the screen making a more comfortable viewing experience for us English speakers. (of any other language really that's not Japanese)
Though Subbed is also really neat because A lot of script get rewritten or taken out and replaced to match local culture better. In English a lot of the cussing and lewd humor gets removed and the conversations between characters get changed up quite a bit to be less entertaining. For example I was watching Powerpuff Girls Z. The episode with the sushi monsters; In the start of the episode the teacher talks about a really nice sushi restaurant that got a sushi machine and starts a debate with buttercup that machine made sushi is better than hand made. In the English version she asks the class to do a paper on their favorite foods instead but still mentions her favorite is sushi. This is probably due to the fact in America not many people eat sushi. Here we are more likely to eat a hamburger or hot dog so to make the show more relateable to American audiences they changed the context.
So instead of choosing a favorite I choose both because if I feel like not putting up with subs I don't have to for that day or hour, but if I don't mind them the show could actually be more interesting.

I like dubbed anime better. If it is subbed anime i won't watch it. I don't want 2 read when i watch the show, plus i think that japanese voices sound weird. However if i don't think the english voice suit the characters i won't watch it. I think that the voices are equally as important as how good the show is. I love the show yu yu hakusho but i won't watch the movie because the voices are different and they really suck. Yusuke and Kuwabara voices make them sound like b#@$!_s. As soon as i heard those voices i closed the window.

It's a case by case thing for me. Some dubs, like funimation's Fairy Tale or any of the Digimon dubs honestly sound great to me. If I can get a good dub, I'm not going to bother with a sub, because I can look away and do work while I listen to an episode. But if the voice acting is absolutely hogwash, of course I'm going to stick to the sub whenever possible.

I usually watch dubs, but sometimes I do subbed because either

1. There's no dub
2. The dub sucks
3. See the differences between them.

Some things I would never ask for an official dub, like Plastic Nee-san. It has a lot of jokes you wouldn't like unless you heard it in Japanese with subs.

If the characters are non-Japanese and their character has them speaking in a foreign accent or language, then the win automatically goes to the dub, every single time.

Hetalia is just....ugh, subbed. In the dub the characters actually have foreign accents and aren't just speaking in the limited variety of Japanese seiyuu tropes i.e. village idiot, imposing bass, fruity flirt, deadpan snarker, etc.

I do wish that there was more variety in the voice acting for dubs, though, and there are some anime I never want to be dubbed because of the content and subject matter. It would make me fall out of my chair from second-hand embarrassment ("Oh my God they actually had to say that.Oh my God why did no one slap the mic out of their hands and tell them what a big mistake they're making!?")

Sometimes it would have to rely on the anime
( like in hetalia it's really funny
to hear the accents in dubbed
but in others it's best to stick with the traditional
weather it's because
of the voice acting or just preference )
but in most cases I would often
go for dubbed more often then subbed because sometimes dubbed can
make no sense once so ever because of terrible grammar

I like them both, but I would watch sub more than the dub sometimes. Then I would switch it around. I like to hear them both so then I can get the sound difference of the main characters to see if the dub that they used was the right voice cast. Its always nice to try and watch both of them so then you can make a decisions on what you like more the sub or the dub.

I watch both though only recently. Before I could only do dubbed but I'm slowly getting used to subbed anime. Some sound better subbed others better dubbed. Though mostly its which ever one I watch it in first sounds better for me.

Personally, I prefer dubbed because It sounds better to me, and don't have to read what they say. There are some cases though, when subbed sounds better/less annoying.

I don't really have a preference and usually go based on whose voices are more tolerable. Sometimes dubbed anime has the worst voice actors, even if they are in English, and while it probably sounds kinda prude, I can't stand listening to horrible voice acting. I have to feel the emotions. Sometimes subbed anime has bad voice acting or over the top and I can't stand it. Just all depends on the quality (also how poorly translated the subtitles are because I remember one AoT episode I watched subbed that was awful).

It just depends. Mostly sub, because I grow impatient when an anime is in the process of dubbing. Plus, sometimes the voice actors for dub are so generic and sound awful at some parts. So to save myself the embarrassment and cringe worthy dialogue, I watch it in sub first, then in dub. Very rarely will I watch an anime in dub first. Very rarely. Very.

It has to be sub titled.  They have so much more enthusiasm and passion in their voices than their American counterparts, and sometimes there is a loss in translation.  I have had to watch a few from english dub to japanese sub because some parts didn't make sense.  Really I just think it is more about their passion in the way they can vocalize how they feel so well

I think either can be superior over the other, it really depends how much effort the voice actors put into their roles. But that said, I usually default to subs, since that's what I'm used to. Plus, it helps you learn Japanese if that's what you're working on.

I prefer dubs over subs usually, I like being able to understand what they're saying as I'm not really a huge fan of reading my TV. I will watch subs but usually don't unless I find their voices annoying (which doesn't happen to me often I'm not too picky on that) or if I just don't want to wait for the dub to be released (if ever).
