I have been thinking about getting a chinchilla for a long time. I have decided that once I get enough money which will be in the future sometime I am going to buy one. They are 80 bucks and I believe that's without the cage and food and things for them. Most people who I have told about this on vizzed is like wait a what? They don't really know what it is xP but here is some pictures of them.

I was wondering what you guys think I should name him/her. My brother and his wife used to have one named rocko but he died a year or 2 ago. I was really saddened but one a bright note I will be getting one myself when I can. :3

I may also decide to get a little hamster if I can't get one of these.

Chinchillas are nice animals. Mix a gerbil with a bunny and what do you get?

I just keep on hearing these strange rumors about them that I think are urban myth. Like if you don't mix orange juice in their water, they develop a fungus that can spread to humans and that if they get bored, they suicide by breaking their own necks.

I have had some friends who have had them and all I can say in first hand experience that they are nice but very sensitive creatures.

Call him/her Rocko II. Even if you get an hamster. Or Rocco.
